Doug is a great guy and really cares about students succeeding. He always stresses to come to his office anytime and to never hesitate to email him about any problems. He provides many examples that helps you understand what he is talking about. This was only a seminar, so I am hoping to get an actual class with him. He knows answers to everything.

Comment:

Loved it. Only useful class that you will actually learn something in your entire degree. I was expecting and easy class to be honest, but it was hard. Be prepared for tests/midterms because they are hard and not multiple choice as well.

I took this class via web. It was very well organized and objectives were clearly laid out. The modules were extremely helpful. The tests were detailed but fair. Everything in the modules was on the test. Practi****was an excellent addition to the class

I have taken KHS 400,300,497, 394,390 and 290 and althought some of the midterms were hard he is very smart and strives for all his students to learn and figure out what path to take. I would recommend all of his classes. He is the best prof I have ever had. He's so smart and is willing to help anyone. He is great at speaking. Take his classes.

Besides being a great proffessor, I would like to point out in his honor that I have never had a professor who was so caring as to send a thinking of you email when I missed class due to a death in the family. This is definetly someone who will work with you if you work with him. Besides if your prepared the tests don't seem so long.

He came as a guest lecturer and spoke so fast and low volume I thought he was in a race talking to himself. He does talk to you when you stop him but I still think he needs to develop on his public speaking especially when there is a microphone to help with the volume. And you need to listen quickly as he doesnt slow down.

His notes are useless on WebCT. Don't bother print them off before and after the class. Doug enjoys turning simply things into giantic deep boring theory to show he is very knowledgeable.If you are in the Adapted area, you cannot avoid taking some of classes from him. Otherwise do not bother to take classes from him.
