I had Painter for a few classes. Kin 105-good class, interesting, and Painter's love. Kin 222-fairly boring due to course material, but Painter does know his stuff VERY well and generally answers questions with amazing clarity. He is a hard marker, but definitely fair. Overall, great prof in KIN :)

Painter is an aweeesome lecturer and really gives clarity to difficult concepts. Takes the time to make sure you really understand. Midterms and finals are very fair - but you need to know your stuff. No trick questions. Take any course you can with him!!

I had him for both 105, 222, and 205L. He is a great prof! he presents his material really well and knows his information really well. His courses are hard to follow if u dont pay full attention, but everything should flow if u prepared for midterms + finals.

i think that Doug is the best prof that we have had so far in Kin. He really knows and understands his material, and teaches both lecture and lab in a way that is easy to understand. He is also well organized, and topic areas flow nicely from one to the other so you can see the assimilation.

was quite boring at the start of the term, but u get used to him after a while. if u try to listen to the stuff he teaches, u'll think he's a great prof. he's nice- offers to drop one test mark and make the exam worth more.
