Very boring lectures/discussions but covered interesting topics. A lot of reading and very tough grader but gives good feedback on what he wants. (no one has ever gotten over 95 in his classes)

Prof. Slaybaugh really knows his subject and he really cares about the students. Your grade is from quizzes/tests, papers & oral presentations, and he grades fairly. You get out of it what you put into it. It is an intro class and if you are only taking is as a history requirement don't think it will be easy. He expects you to work in his class.

I don't recommend taking a class with Slaybaugh. BORING teacher but seems knowledgable. He uses a monotone voice and never stops lecturing. Always ends class five minutes late. U.S. since 1865= boring class. Reading quizzes every single class.
