One of the worst profs I've had. Super boring and easy to tone out, doesn't post slides so attendance is mandatory, and the final was absolutely brutal! Disrespectful to students when they ask questions, will snap back at them and act like everyone should know everything already. Repeats himself constantly in lectures yet still doesn't make sense.

He ruins my Biology 121 lab. He is arrogant & continuously talks about how students are not smart enough and lazy . Stay away from him , he makes me hate showing up to labs I use to love.

Doctor Smith is a very straight forward professor. Knowing his notes inside out will definitely land you a 100 on the midterm, but his one-dimensionality makes it torturous to sit through lectures. He is the epitome of a monotone professor, with a dry and non-existent humour. Notes need to be filled in, so show up for class. Think twice before emai

Very detailed and precise lectures and note. If you pay attention and recap the notes you'll have no trouble doing well in his class.

Dr. Smith isn't the most dynamic lecturer, but he is able to teach his subject clearly. His skeleton notes make coming to class essential but make the final a piece of cake. He is approachable to students outside of class and really seems to care about their learning.

his portion on final exam was fully based on his fill in notes. He is very monotone and not very nice to students that ask questions after class. very boring lecturer and took too much time (3-5 days) explaining genetics and only spent half a day on photosynthesis. Final exam was mainly photosynthesis and cell resp. avoid if possible.

Have to agree with the other comments about being monotone because yikes he puts me to sleep. But, his notes are easy to follow and great to study off of. You could probably skip most of the lectures as lo as you got notes form someone else and studied off those.

He is a very boring prof to listen to and not very kind to students that ask questions. Most importantly, he "forgot" to show up to lecture one day and sent a long rambling email about it. Then he spent the rest of the semester rushing through the material to try and finish. Make sure you do the online quizzes- they taught me a lot.

Reads the lecture slides in a very monotone, unenthusiastic voice. Refuses to put blanks online, so make sure you know someone in the class. You can easily read the textbook in lieu of attending lectures.

Comment:
Doug was brutally monotone as a Bio 120 lecturer and as a Bio 121 Lab TA. He is arrogant (despite trying to refute these claims), and it seems like he wants to see people fail. Always telling us we are doomed, and that we have no chance of succeeding in the course. He gets very off topic and rambles on for hours when you ask him simple questions.

Lectures were dry but clear cut. They had a more uniform structure to them. At the end of the term though he rushed really bad to get through the material, which made the last bit really confusing. While the fill in the blanks was nice, it often became a wait for the next blank, text friends while waiting because he was so monotonous.

He is a very straightforward professor. His lectures were somewhat boring, just the usual skeleton notes, but he said everything as is. He speaks in a somewhat monotone way, so he is easy to understand. He's also an avid basketball fan.

Posts incomplete notes so you have to go to class to fill them in. His lectures can be quite boring but he cracks the ocasional joke. He explains everything generally pretty well if you pay attention.

Lectures are awful; fill in the blank notes so you can't miss a class, super dull and tends to go over time. Notes are super repetitive and hard to follow. Doesn't explain things or answer questions very well. Try to avoid!

SO BORING. Literally I go on social media during lecture hours to keep from falling asleep. Have to attend lectures due to fill in the blank notes. Don't get me wrong he is nice and all, but he needs to make lectures more interesting

Bad: fill-in-the-blank slides (can't miss a class), sometimes condescending, struggles to answer questions beyond what's on his slides, and adds little to what's on his powerpoints. Good: his slides are comprehensive (which ultimately saves a lot of your time) and he is a good guy in person. Very straightforward exams.
