Comment:

I CHANGED MY MAJOR BC OF THIS CLASS, I hated it. I loved CHEM107 & CHEM111 but I hated CHEM112. His lectures are all on powerpoints which I find it weird for a CHEM class. All the math problems are typed out, not handwritten & rarely ever demonstrated. The average on the exams are 30/100. That just shows that its really the professor's teaching.

One of the worst teachers I have ever experienced, he does not want to put effort into teaching and reads the textbook slides off his computer. He moves way to fast to comprehend, and yet is still confused when the class average for an exam is 29%. I loved chem 111 and did very well, and yet I struggled with 112 more than I ever had because Postma

I took his class last semester for Chem 111 and i honestly liked him as a professor. The subject is hard but his lectures are clear and if you pay attention in class and do the homework you're sure to pass. He does reviews for all of his exams and they are very similar and straight forward.. Bonus: he always curves his exams.

Worst Chemistry Experience I have ever had at Chico State. I would go as far as saying he was one of the worst teachers I have ever had. He is a very nice guy but knows nothing about teaching students. I can't imagine that anyone in my entire class was inspired. It was a terrible experience, and I hate to say that, seeing as I am a chem major.

He is an okay teacher, nothign special. The class averages on test were always around 49% which resulted in a HUGE curve. Pay attention and go to class and its not that hard. On a side note, he is a ass for not letting me take the final a day early, i ended up missing my BROTHERS wedding because of this....hated him for that

Postma is a great teacher. He is very willing to help you you persue him. His chem 111X class really helps. if you want a good grade in his class, go to the chem 111X class. he pretty much gives you the answers to the test. but go every week, not just before a test.

lectures totally do not relate to lab, sample exams are absolutely NO HELP in preparing for the tests!! class average on the tests are around 33%, he curves but theres something wrong with the prof if thats the average!! nice guy, willing to help, but only explains things one way! definately DO NOT TAKE CHEM FROM HIM!!!!

Professor Postma is very intelligent and knows the ins and outs of chemistry. Highly recommended! He is available during office hours and is very patient. Just ask for help when needed and always attend classes! Study off sample exams and attend the chem x classes. Also reminded me of good old Saint Nick :D

I think he is the most pateint teacher in the world.He is very intelligent and a nice guy. He talks very slow so we all can follow. It's a really hard class. The easier way to pass the his tests is to study off the sample exams.

He is a great professor overall especially for chemistry. Out of all the prof. I have had he is the best. He makes his lectures so easy to understand and his homework is simple. I would also recommend the problem session. Its and extra unit and he gives you questions that would be on the test. Very nice guy and loves to see his students do well.

You gotta give it to the guy, he gets up there and lectures this stuff semester after semester. He is pretty clear in most of his explanations, and if you actually do the homework, then it gives you the conceptual practice that you need for the tests. The lectures help in the labs, I have found out. And in the Chem 111X he will help you step by friggin step for each problem if you need it. Great guy, cool professor.

This guys a chemistry nut! HW is beyond easy and the tests are curved so much, its hard to get less than a C on them. Funny guy and very approachable! If you have to take this course take it from him, He can be funny and you will pass if you show up.

Postma is a funny guy, and he looks a lot like santa. He's jolly, and makes chemistry fun. I thought he did a great job of teaching a difficult subject, and although his tests are almost impossible to finish in 50 mins he curves the grade so that a 40% can still be a C! Take his class.
