Best math professor at uofa. Lectures are very good and he gives lots of concrete examples which are sometimes similar to assignments and exams. No need to use the book. Funny person and class is very lively. Definitely recommend.

Best math prof I ever had! His lectures are interesting and easy to follow. In-class examples are super helpful for understanding the material and doing assignments. Moreover, he's so passionate about math, inspiring me to love math too. Very easygoing and helpful outside of class when you need help with assignments.

Hands-down one of the best professors Ive had at U of A. Dragos is an inspiration, very caring and passionate about teaching. In his lectures he pulls out the material that is important for exams and he is very clear about what you need to know. He makes the material easy to understand through excellent chosen examples. Overall amazing teacher.

Two things about him: 1. He is poor(mediocre at best) at teaching. He goes VERY VERY fast and overall stimulates a chaotic environment in his lectures. He doesn't have the best handwriting either and also makes quite a few mistakes. And worst of all, he doesn't post neatly written online notes. 2. He has awesome review sessions, good man at heart.

Dragos is pretty average at teaching for a math prof but it's all the other things he does that make him good. He holds a review session every exam for all math101 students while collecting money for charity and put me on the full version of webassign even though I never paid. What a g

Enrol in this prof's class if you have the opportunity to. He is very engaging and makes a subject like math rather enjoyable to learn. He gives very good examples and emphasizes the material that is tested on. It's a must to come to class since he doesn't post the notes online. He also gives a midterm and final review session thats really helpful.

Dragos can be overhyped. He is in fact a great choice for a prof but when you're struggling with concepts, his messy writing and accent (sorry) can make it extremely hard to keep up with his fast paced lectures. HOWEVER, once you get a grasp on the material, his notes are great, lots of examples. He holds a review and tells you the exam basically.

This man is the best professor the UofA has in their math department, easily. Math 209 is an extremely difficult course to grasp, but Dragos' notes are designed perfectly to help you succeed in the examinations. He is quite hilarious, and just an all around caring and well respected guy. 1 hour after registration opened, his section was 1/2 full.
