Lectures for majority of class time. Some of the class time is used for group work because large group project and paper with individual parts due at end of semester. Only other grades are 2 tests and a final during finals week. Tests are all essay q's and he gives you study guide with 9 essay q's before test that he picks 3 from for test.

I love Dr. Matcha! I wish I would have come to class more often. I could've gotten B+/A-. He gives EASY analysis papers due every Friday. He gives 5 test including the final. The multiple choice are difficult you must read the chapters. But there a study guide for short answers so it's EASY. One 6 page research paper. I like him, he's interesting.

Dr. Matcha has alot of experience within the field of health sciences, but prepare for hour long lectures, and if you don't read up until the exam you will not do well. He gives you the study guides for exams before, but expects long answers. If you work hard and show that you are trying you will do fine. This class will help expand your writing!

I loved this class (health and illness) . He is very educated in his area and has YEARS of experience so his expectation is a little high. He gives 3 exams and the prompts before hand and goes through them. There is a 12-15 page research paper but he gives it out in the syllabus the first day of class. MUST TAKE.

I have taken 2 classes with him and he is not an easy teacher at all. He is very difficult. He grades extremely tough. He does not give out 100 on anything he takes off many points on exams for minor things. He requires a 15 page paper. When he teaches he does not look up he speaks straight to the floor. Overall, terrible class and teacher.

What a nice man! Extremely nice guy, fair grader. You can get a good grade on the presentation and paper if you go to office hours and have him check over your paper. For the essay tests write them out beforehand so you can memorize the essays. Good class and very interesting!

He was my all time favorite. I was not really interested in the class before, but he really made me aware of the issues at hand. He was an amazing professor and really cares about each student. He also thinks that each student is worth his time and thought so he listens to what you have to say. read the textbook before tests

he makes it known from the start what he wants. If you want to pass, listen to what he says. he writes what is important during class. also, read the textbook. but his tests are very easy if you do your reading.

Matcha is an extremely easy teacher. There may be a lot of work, but he makes everything extremely clear. You must take notes to pass tests. There is a 10 page research paper which is very easy. The homework assignments are easy too. Basically you just have to try and the class will be easy!

alot of work but easy class if you plan ahead. 5 exams, drops the lowest grade, gives you essay questions in advance. READ the text if you want to do well. 4 projects that took 30 mins and you have a week to do them. 10 page research paper- just plan ahead. he accepts rough draft. very accomadating and understanding if you have personal problems.=)

Matcha is the man. The essays are given to you for each test, and during class take notes. Thats all you need to do. One 8 page paper but thats about it, be careful though you might have a rough time staying awake.

Do NOT take this guy! Boring, monotone, you do nothing all year then he hits you with a 20 page paper, presentation, and tests at the very end of the semester. He's a communist and hates America- if you show any sort of conservative ideals, prepare to have an obscene amount of points taken off your tests which areessay only. DROP THIS CLASS NOW!

Not a bad class, he's monotone and I tend to fall asleep, but if you do the work and study you'll do good. 4 Exams and he drops 1, I haven't done good on them. 1 research project, 4 small projects, and 4 current event analysis. Lot of work but if you pay attention and keep up, your good.

Not a bad class. Lots of work, tests, a paper, and projects. He's boring as hell, but is very quick to answer your questions if you email him. ATHLETES AVOID! Very fair I think...just read the book and study notes ahead of time and you'll do fine on the tests.Highly recommend for general!
