Comment:
Good guy overall. Is boring with his lecturing style, has a difficult time keeping the class interested. The concepts are clear and what you learn in class is what you will see on the tests. Relatively tough grader, but will do the whole "mistakes carry over" thing, so partial credit exists.

You'll sit in class wondering if you accidently took an intermeditate course. Asking questions doesn't help. You'll have no idea whats going on unless you have prior background knowlege or microeconomics. Avoid at all costs. Had to go to tutoring about 6 times just to understand everything and ended up with a B-

Professor James is extremely quiet, and fails to explain the basic building blocks of the class in order to understand the more important stuff. He assumes the students understand concepts of Economics, so you'll probably be lost in the beginning. The first midterm will catch you by surprise. I'd recommend paying good attention in class.

He is very soft spoken, but his tests are very lecture and notes based. You are better off studying the notes and problems he gives in class rather than wasting your time studying the chapters of the text book. You only need the book to do practice problems. If you re write and understand his notes from class, you will do decent on the 3 exams

Don't. Just don't. If you do: sit in the front, take detailed notes, read the chapter he assigned diligently, and do the practice questions he gives you. You are graded on two midterms and a final. May the odds be ever in your favor.

Sit in the front row if you want to hear him but he explains things pretty well. Doesn't take attendance but tests are from the notes not the book so you'll want to be there for the notes. Gives alot of partial credit but not a lot of grades. Only need the book for practice problems that he doesn't even collect.

He is crystal clear about the fact that the test will come straight from the notes. Pay attention, take good notes, stay above the curve and you will do fine. Even if you have a B+ going into the final, you can pull off an A. Plenty of chances to succeed and he is there to help

Professor James is a very intelligent professor who knows his economics, but he is a bit old fashioned and soft spoken. Exams are usually based off his lectures but you will NEED the textbook. Two midterms and a cumulative final (with partial credit). If you are willing to put some extra work and study, you should be fine, otherwise avoid him.

He tells you the information and writes out the notes for you, and will go over the few homework problems assigned, but you have to fill in the blanks on the material. Two midterm exams and a final, all self-explanatory and fairly easy. Not a lot of work outside of simply going to class. If you understand basic econ, you'll do fine.

One of the worst professors I've had. Incredibly boring/monotone and confusing. I sit at the front of his class and can barely hear what he's saying. There's only three exams so if you bomb one, expect a not so great grade. Would not recommend!!!

Lectures are horribly long and boring. All his tests are based on his confusing lectures. The textbook is not really mandatory. Absolutely unhelpful. Gives the most confusing explanations. Try to avoid this professor if you can.

Very monotonous speaker so it gets easy to fall asleep in his class. He's very unclear about what he talks about and goes off on so many tangents that everyone forgets what the original point actually is. The tests were all "exclusively" short answer and the final was "super cumulative." If you can take someone else for microeconomics, you should.

Classes are long lectures, tests based off lecturesnotes, not book. Attendance is necessary to get all the notes needed, if you skip one day you could miss an entire chapter. Really nice guy, and does explain when asked to, but it is way too easy to get lost in his graphs and diagrams.

Duncan is a classic academic. He's jargon heavy and only operates on a high level but he's relaxed about it. Your going to get matter of fact descriptions of the way markets work based on math and theory. He won't try to make things easy to relate too. Don't take this guy as an intro. His classes are resources, the heavy lifting is up to you.

Professor Duncan is the worst teacher I had my first semester at Fordham. He does not even come close to enunciating so his lectures make absolutely no sense. His tests are also not even closely relatable to the textbook.

He is tough and really disorganized. Tests are kinda tough and he does not curve. I did well but that is because I had prior knowledge.Econ is interesting to me but he made me dislike it bc he would make graphs and not explain them.

Decent teacher. Sometimes his lectures are understandable but usually goes on strange tangents. Can get angry if you ask questions. Tests are alright but you have to teach yourself. Very boring prof. Pick him as a last choice.

Comes to class without a lesson plan, doesn't connect lesson to the book's chapters at all. Learned all I know from the textbook and the economics tutors. Ridiculous grader, will expect things in your answer without asking for them or even making you think about them. Can't buy a good grade in this class. Speaks in monotone, can't comprehend him.

You have to sit in the front row to hear him, he mumbles and is very timid. He teaches from the powerpoints that you can find online through the book's website-- they're a lot more useful than him, unfortunately. Class is useless, he doesn't take attendance and I taught myself the night before the exams and did well.
