The professor is about to retire at the end of 2010, so keep that in mind if you are taking him summer or fall 2010. I have learned almost nothing about finance, he doesn't explain things in a way you can understand, and the final is comprehensive, no midterm, and is the majority of your grade. Stay away from this class!

VERY funny.VERY HARD.VERY knowledgeable. basically a self taught class. scares the **** out of you from the beginning, but he really lightens up once the weaklings are eliminated. highly recommend personally meeting with him if your questions are not answered in class. DO NOT take ANY other difficult courses concurrently. STUDY! START PROJECT ASAP!

Excellent Professor with exceptional knowledge of the financial world. Also a fantastic contact for job searching. remarkable intelligence blended with humorous storytelling allows for a wonderful learning environment in which a great deal is taught. Those who disagree just aren't bright enough to keep up. Too bad.

The tests had nothing to do with the material covered in the lectures, textbook, or problems. I was interested in applying to the financial analyst graduate program at PSU before I had this professor. Since he's the director of it, forget it- I'm applying elsewhere, I never want to have to deal with this incompetent again.
