This man is absolutely ridiculous. He likes to fit in his political opinions about everything any chance he gets. As a professor, he is decent, talks way too much about himself and repeats stories all the time. Really don't like him as a person , and i would definitely not take him again for a class. He really pissed me off some days.

He's a veritable genius! Students who are not willing to work hard or pay attention will not only lose out in their grade, but they'll miss out on getting knowledge that they will receive nowhere else. And he's absolutely adorable--in looks and personality. No professor has influenced me more.

I like Harrington. Fun stories, wide knowledge, focused on copyright, but I can't help but feel cheated. We spent alot of time watching him surf the internet for irrelevant junk. His tests are incredibly confounding too. If you want to go into copyright law, take him, otherwise be wary.

Harrington is great, without a doubt. Knows his stuff up and down. Can be hard if you don't do your work. If you keep up and follow directions to a "T", you're golden. Just work hard. You'll learn a lot and enjoy it too.

Oustanding. Self-assured? Cocky on occasion? Yeah. So? He's earned it. He's one of the best in the nation at what he does. His classes are difficult. He's not very flexible. He's a stickler about punctuality. And that's exactly how it should be. The rules are very clear from day one, and if you put in the work and follow the rules, you get a high grade. Period. And you probably enjoy yourself in the process. Funny guy. Great to just hang out and talk with. A rare, top notch resource.

Awful....absolutely horrific. This was more like the "Michael Harrington theorist extroidanaire Hour" than theory class. Most of what I remember from this class is his stories about his exploits as an expert witness in copyright infringement cases. Thank God they moved him to the music business school...it's where he belongs.

He was a terrible survey teacher. He had no schedule for class and subsequently he never stayed on track. However, he tested over what he would have taught. I asked him for help and he said he didn't have time for me. He may be good in other classes and he may be smart but he BETTER START TEACHING US and stop making himself look good by saying he knows every single person in the world.

Those of you who have had Harrington, may question the "easy" rating. I think the rating is misleading. If you are willing to put in the work needed and expected, then you will do well. He expects alot, but no class that you love and learn alot in, can be experienced without work. Harrington is a great teacher. Take him if you want to learn, not if you just want to pass through. He is one of the few teachers at Belmont that provide an actual college level course!

If I would have filled this out before grades were given, I'd say take his class cause it's really cool. But now I say avoid him at all costs. I got A's on all the tests and quizzes, didn't think the final was hard and wrote a pretty good paper but when the grades came out I got a C+! I've been emailing him about it but he won't answer me.
