Comment:

No homework, easy midterm because he gives you a review quiz before that looks almost the same. Final is hard, not impossible but hard. Why? Because he does not teach, he speaks in a monotone voice and only caters to the first row of students. He is a nice man, but should attempt to teach the class better. He just wants the students to memorize.

You will not learn anything, I barely went to class and the times I did I did not pay attention at all. Only because he was never on topic and was all over the place. The class consists of a couple homework's, midterm and final. I got an A in the course, but did not learn anything. This class is not for Finance Majors.

The old man can tell you what happened in the news in the last week, but has no idea how to teach a class. He spent the first week wasting time talking about how expensive his watch is and how great of an investor he is, but taught us nothing about investing and can offer no strategy behind his trades besides "I thought it was a good company".

Flowers connects finance theory with current practice and current events. He is perfect for self-driven students, and able to bring finance to life. Very interesting lectures. A great teacher.

I've never met anyone before who has a opinion on literally everything. He might be the worst prof in the school if you actually want to learn finance, but if you want an A take him. One easy presentation and two easy matching tests. Half of the final is the same stuff that was on the midterm. Dont buy the text.Attendance not mandatory. easy A.

Flowers is an awesome professor. He is extremely intelligent and uses class time to talk about current events. I loved this class because we learned about so many current financial and international issues. You don't need the textbook, he is a fantastic professor and would definately recommend. You'll learn alot if you pay attention in class.

You won't learn a thing. You'll walk out of the classroom more confused than you walk in. Attendence not mandatory. If he knows you well, you'll pass. I love his grading system, it's based on how well he knows you. Take if you want to keep a high GPA but you won't learn a thing (waste of money).

He's a nice professor. He does not use the book, so dont buy it. He gives 1 midterm, oral presentation on any topic, and a final. There are also assignments and take home quizzes, but they are very easy. Attendence isnt mandatory. He gives quizzes before the exams and then uses the same questions for the exams. Do all the homeworks/assignments.

Flowers is a really smart guy, not a great teacher though. If I were to start a bank, he'd be my righthand guy. He gives midterm/final, no attendance, doesn't use textbook, but u don't learn much in his class. Major curve on exams too.

I loved Professor Flowers. He teaches from his mind and we discuss current events a lot in class. The class isn't formal at all, sit in the front row so he can get to know you and his tests are very straight foward. Download his notes from ST. John's professor folder and you'll get an A in his class. Very very nice professor.

first off dont buy the book!! he doesnt use it once! and those notes he writes on the board are the test! but he posts them on the class boards so attendance isnt necessary! he doesnt take attendance! and he didnt give us a take home test i guess only his favorites! oh and the more you suck up the better your grade! all As to the front row

Taking him again next semester! Got an A. He uploads all notes on the net so you don't need to "sit in the front row" (I didnt even have a notebook) If you do really well on the presentation he'll bump ur grade up. Has memory like an elephant and knows when you're absent so just don't overdo it (2 weeks+) and he's cool about it. DON'T buy txtbk.

boring lectures about the news felt illprepared for my internship. advice: sit in front row bc he writes REALLY REALLY small, study notes 4 midterm+notes he provides on net. midterm is curved a lot, like 40=C, 68=B, 85+=A bc everyone is THAT lost. don't bother buying txtbk. remembers your face for attendance, no formal attendance. cumulative final.

You are not going to learn anything in this class, halfway through the semester he is yet to teach us anything!! He is obsessed with current events and the wolrd of computers.
