He has great stories about his travels. The exams aren't easy and you take notes like a dog, but you will learn a lot.

worst teacher ever. Really was a waist of my time! The text books he assigns are expensive and says he grades on a curve but really doesn't. You have to write 3 papers and they arent worth many points. So if you take this class focus on the TESTS and not on the papers!

This was the worst experience I have ever had with a professor. He doesn't care about his students & he is unreasonable. I attended class, took good notes, and tried hard, but that means nothing to him. If he thinks he is right or even if he makes a mistake, he will NEVER fix the problem and change the story around. Not worth your time or money.

This class was very hard. I got an A, I would not recommend this class to non-Antro majors or to that don't want to make this class their main focus. His test questions are unreasonably specific. However, if you do decide the subject because it sounds interesting be warned that everything he says is a potential question. Write everything down!

The more I tried, the worse I did. I read everything in the beginning and got an F on the first midterm. Of course, his grading scale is off (my score was 62%). I knew of no one in my class who was doing well at any point throughout the semester. He didn't help very much during office hours, though he kept his appointment. I ended up with a C.

Ben Stein's ex-hippie older brother is as concise as one can define him. His tone is monotonous, he tends to have the facial expressions of a goat dropped in the middle of the I-5, and he seems to vary in knowledge on topics. His grading scale is rather harsh on tests, which can hurt you when you opt to not attend. Interesting class overall.

If you go to every class you don't need the books. And he covers stuff in class that's not in the books, so you should go. Very interesting class, he knows his stuff, and he's more than willing to answer questions.

THIS IS IMPORTANT! If you are going to take Anthro 424 with Dr. Henry, I got a B in the class and did almost no reading. If I had attended all the classes I probably could have gotten an A. If you take Anthro 424 with Dr. Henry you do not need to buy ANY books. But make sure you attend EVERY lecture and take good notes.

Tests are hard, he is kind of a boring guy. You really need to be an excellent note taker because he expects you to regurgitate everything that he covers in class. Going to his class is essential because his test come out of the notes.

Prof. Henry is rigid, but brilliant and ultimately easy to figure out. Don't describe anything in your own words on his tests--be a good classroom stenographer so that you can write down everything he says and then use HIS words on the test. You will work a lot, but Henry will also teach you a lot, so you'll really get your money's worth from him.

This is the 3rd class I've taken with Henry and it's definitely my favorite. Don't listen to the whiners who complain that it's too difficult (it's mostly because they don't attend the lectures). Attendance in class is a must but his knowledge is far and wide. Take good notes and you'll be fine.

This professor is soooo boring! For a general ed. class it is way too difficult. He lectures on some of the most boring material and his tests are really hard. The majority of the class failed the first exam. Don't plan on getting an A unless you are an anthro. major.

He is very knowledgable and has a weird but awesome sense of humor. He is very different in his music, india and super natural classes; much more laid back and more into the class. I recommend taking him if you are serious about school and will attend class. Topics are interesting in Anth 424.
