he's really knowledgeable but so intense with the amount of homework. if you've got other classes at the same time then good luck. you're not gonna have time to do the homework for those classes since you spend all your time on this one class.

You need to take Western Civ for your prereq? Ya don't take him, worst teacher ever. Over the course of the semester their is 38 quizzes. One every class period, and occasionally their is 2 in one class.

Give up on trying to get an A in this class, it is nearly impossible especially if you are a full time student and work. The quizzes are excessive and the case paper is even worse. He doesn't explain what he wants and he expects you to know how to read minds, more specifically his. Do not take this class, if you can avoid it.

Yeah, worst class I've ever taken. If you thought IM 250 was tough, IM 350 is on another level of classes. He assumes that all the students in the class are on his same level. It seems that if you don't have interest in IP Law then you automatically fail. Quizzes are everyday, and he puts a lot of trick questions in his questions.

His syllabus is not very clear, and he doesn't explain himself very well. He is very strict with the papers that he assigns, and expects you to be typing a paper as if you were in your senior year at BU. He doesn't realize that when teaching a general education class the students don't really care.

Ed is a conundrum. His quizzes make no sense half the time. What he wants can be very unclear. He's knowledgeable about the topic but doesn't have the patience to explain things individually. All IM majors have to take this so my advice: keep your head down, do the work. The paper is HARD so don't lose "easy" points by missing class.

Quiz every class over reading that is sometimes over 40 pages when copied into Word. Lectures for 50 min about who knows what. Goes on huge rants and tangents that no one in the class understands. He is never clear about what he wants on an assignment and assumes that we understand everything he's talking about. He's very very rude!

Hardest class I've ever taken. I got 2-5 hours of sleep every night for weeks in the beginning half of the semester. Hurry up and find an efficient way to get all the work done because there is a ton of it. I had no time for relaxation, interests, or sleep when enrolled in this class. Material was interesting but nearly impossible to get all done.

He's extremely passionate and knowledge able about the subject but the workload is ridiculous and I often found myself staying up late trying to complete it all. He requires you to come to class or you wont get credit for your homework. He's extremely strict about the paper you write in this class. He syllabus is a little hard to understand.

Horrible syllabus. Encourages class discussion, then puts you down no matter what you say. Unpleasant man to be around. He sends you a massive amount of irrelevant emails. So much reading that I don't actually get anything out of it. Unfortunately he is a tenured professor who teaches a required class. Good Luck.

The work load of this class is VERY excessive. Assignment due 8 AM and by midnight every day you have class. 10-12 page paper. He does have an idea of what he is talking about but how extremely rude he is and vague of how he wants assignments to be really hinders the ability to learn in this class.

GET OUT OF THIS CLASS. Seriously, the worst class I've taken on campus. He is very rude and demeaning, he asks you to put in graduate level work loads for a required class, and has been known to call kids boring in stupid in emails. He held us over 30 mins about 1/2 the time to watch videos of the speech team.

He's a great professor. Honestly he is. The lectures are usually quite interesting and rarely bore. The work load is heavy, but reasonable. (Especially in 350) Where Ed stumbles, for me anyway, is the clarity of assignments and what is expected of them. Be prepared to email Ed with questions. Thankfully he is usually quick to respond.

Ed,what can I say the guy teaches freshmen like they have the minds of those who have a doctorate. I have to admit he is the best professor I've had, and earned my C. People don't like the guy because he cocky, well Ed knows what he talking about. Studying is must, if your feeling get hurt get easily, well grow up. Ed is the man.

Useless human being. Ego way to big for his own good. Convinced he knows everything about everything. You do 10x the work in his class as any other teacher and get nothing out of it. He's a total jerk, and going to his class is useless but mandatory. One of the worst teachers if not THE worst. Avoid Ed at all costs, if you can't then drop his class

Ed is the kind of guy how expects you to do work to his exacting standards while not being able to capitalize sentences correctly. I feel the university would be much better off if they scrubbed people like him out of the faculty and replaced him with a quality instructor. Expect to get docked points and never be told why. And he's required, great.

Ed rocks my world. Don't let the bald head fool you, he bursting of energy, especially when he has concerts at the Red Barn. Overall, he's taught me more about communication than my mother did when I was learning to talk. Plus, I've learned one of the greatest life lessons from him; how to keep sand in the sandbox.
