Ed Miller is a great guy! Very kind and understanding, and has a great but odd sense of humor. While he doesn't always teach grammar points the best, if you have taken any Spanish and do your homework this class is a breeze. There are lots of worksheets given that feel like busy work, but they do help practice. This class was not stressful at all!

Prof. Miller is a great, caring guy who wants you to succeed. But his teaching style was definitely not for me. Aside from him being a little boring, he relied on multiple handouts every single class for us to understand what he was trying to teach, rather than to explain what he was trying to teach.

Miller is a pro at busy work. I came in with three years of HS Spanish and so first semester was completely review. I do not think I would have done well if I actually needed to learn anything new with him in a class, but thankfully I had a good HS Spanish program. Nice guy, but his teaching style is difficult to successfully learn from.

Doesn't actually teach anything, just gives out endless handouts to fill out inside and outside of class. I don't recommend if you want to learn anything, or if you're not good at Spanish and want a good grade.

I love Prof. Miller! He is a great teacher and a funny guy. He does give quite a bit of homework, but the homework is to help you grasp new concepts in Spanish. He is a fair grader, and he is always willing to help you anytime.

On the first day of class, Miller reminded me of Ben Stein in Ferris Bueller. But once he started to get to know us, he was always cracking jokes. The class was laid back, and he isn't a hard grader. He ended up dropping several of our test and quiz scores to help us out.

Is just an ok professor. I thought he was unorganized and did not teach the class that well, but is a good person and will help you with what you need. Classes weren't engaging. Tests were straight forward, but watch out for the reading quizzes.

He's an ok prof. But some of the concepts get really confusing. The spanish examns are all pretty hard. But all Spanish exams at calvin are pretty hard. He's a better 101 prof than 102.

I took Miller for 101 and 102 because he was so great! He's really funny, and will do whatever he can to help you if you seek it out. He gets a little confused sometimes, but really cares about his students and will make you laugh. TAKE HIM!!!!

He is probably one of the easiest spanish teachers at Calvin, if you already have taken a year or two in high school. He covers things fast in class without asking for questions, but if you talk to him outside of class he will sit you down and explain it. He does not know jack about technology, and it is funny watching him try to figure out t
