If you can avoid taking him, please don't. His classes are literally him droning on for an hour and a half. He could care less about participation, so do well on hw and tests bc that's all you get graded on. He loves to hear himself talk. So boring!

Need to take this class? Take it in the summer if you can. Not a lot of work, pretty easy, but is very particular about grammar and the way you write (Yes, it is an English course but he'll check your work, say its good, and then take points off.) He reads from the book, and the lectures are very boring. My classmates and I did not find him helpful

This professor is the WORST I've EVER had in my life. Doesn't teach a damn thing in his class& all he does, is reads to us like friggin kindergarteners.This class is part of my concentration& it's effecting my gpa negatively. He gives out NO grades almost all semester, and no matter how hard you try, everything is wrong. DON'T TAKE HIM.

I really liked Dr. Miller. I'm surprised about the negative reviews written on here.I thought he was always very clear in his explainations, and if you follow his instructions on the papers, then it's not hard to get an A. He's very willing to offer extra help. A bit boring, but not a hard class!

Just plain awful. I can't express that enough. I've learned nothing in his class the entire semester. He just skims the scenes without giving any insight at all. [Sparknotes would be more informative...which is beyond sad to say]. He cannot stimulate classroom discussion. Good luck if you have no choice but to take him...I've felt your pain.

I can honestly say that this man is the worst professor/teacher I have ever had in my entire life. He sits there and reads to you, there little participation, he is boring beyond belief, and he provides no guidance. He's intelligent, but leaves a lot to be desired as a professor, and I have no idea who appointed him chairperson

Edmund Miller was absolutely wonderful as a thesis director. Throughout the entire process, I felt like he cared about me not just as an intellectual object , but as a complete person. He took the time to help me to develop my idea, then he worked closely with me to revise and edit. He was always very patient and caring as a prof. My thanks to him
