Will not let you graduate! Difficult professor. Attend class almost everyday, no help. Biggest regret of my life was to take him during the summer '05 session hoping to finish up this one last class. Til this day, haven't finished this course because of him. BUS189 alone is really hard to get in, all the good professors are always full to capacity.

Good professor. I had him for Bus 160 and 189. 160 was easy, 189 was fairly hard. The key to getting a high grade from him was to not miss lectures. His lectures included great examples of concepts. He would keep working with students, even after the end of an office hour, if he hadn't answered all of their questions yet.

Monologue teaching style. Students should be seen and not heard. Somewhat challenging, 60% was an A after the curve. Student reader has all the info you need and it is cheap. Groupwork for cases with presentations. Retired.

Very interesting professor - he backs up the things he's teaching with corporate examples so things are easier to remember. If you want to learn about business strategy, this is the best professor for this course.

Boring lecture, but needs to go and take notes, unless you can understand all what's written in the manual(cheap, book not needed). 3 midterms, all curved, optional final (lowest grade dropped if take the final). Group project(oral & written), easy if you choose the right group.

Good guy, interesting lectures, and doesnt always keep you late. If you really want to understand the topic, this is a good instructor to have. Lots of group projects, but he grades pretty fairly. Overall, an interesting class, and fairly easy.

the teacher is a good teacher and he clarifies the manual but if you miss a lecture it is kind of difficult to understand the material just by reading.he is not goiong teach anymore, he is retiring so you don't have to worry about this teacher.fall 2005 was his last semister in SJSU but he was a good teacher answeres all your questions.

His class is not hard as alot of people think. The tests are hard but if you go to the lectures your understand the material better. However, his lectures are hella boring! The case analysis which you do in groups are easy points if you have the right team!HE CURVES ON ALL THE TESTS..i GOT A 30/50 AND THAT WAS A B.

He lectures from his manual which reads like his personal notes on the subject. This makes it difficult to understand when you try to study for his exams. It's best to show up to his lectures so you can get an idea of what he wrote. Not a difficult grader, but I must say that his exams were too wordy (ie. a lil too difficult to understand)

This class is easy and cheap because the only book you need is his which costs $20. THAT IS ALL YOU NEED... seriously, I used that and I am one of students w/highest grade in class. He is not boring because he makes funny remarks and opens up things that we may have never though of before. He has experience in the field which is what counts...

I took this class from him during the summer session. Everything moves very quickly and it's a hard course. I learned more from him than anyone else at SJSU. He's an excellent teacher - provides 7 day a week e-mail support and has lots of real world examples. This course isn't for slackers - you really have to learn the material.

Yes, so what if he lectures the whole class while sitting down. He knows his sh*t well and he has actual experience. Don't bother buying the text, I never did. Just buy the course reader ($20) and study off that. Group orals, but it is optional.

He writes his own text book, course reader, which you have to buy at the maple press. From my experiences with professors writing their own texts, usually are harder. His book is really hard to understand 'cas the information is not thorough. It's choppy bits of info.I actually have to lookup internet to further understand each concept.

He's hard guys! Don't take him in the summer or winter session. His lectures: doesn't even give student time to recap on what he lectured about. Some students gave blank faces in class but he keeps on lecturing as if we're supposed to know. We are here to learn not to guess things out!Gillis is a lot easier,I wish I knew and had taken him instead.

Highly recommend taking this class. I enjoyed listening his lecture!! You donĂ¢€™t need to buy a textbook but have to have his reader. If you attend class all the time and take good notes, you will be fine. Make sure to participate group projects, which were not so difficult. Very generous grader and he gave some extra credit report.

DONT BUY THE EFFIN BOOK, DIDNT EVEN OPEN IT ONCE. EVERYTHING IS FROM LECTURE AND READER. AS LONG AS YOU GO THROUGH THE STUDY GUIDE, YOU'LL BE FINE. DIDNT DO WELL IN HIS MIDTERMS, BUT HE GAVE MAJOR CURVES.
