What he says in class is more like Current Issues in Civ. Procedure but he only focuses on maybe 3-4 ideas all semester. If you can mix the readings and his lectures into exam answers you'll be fine. Also check the NB Law Society website, he took fact patterns right from there for 2/3 of the questions on the final.

You definitely know what you're going to get from Veitch. Pretty entertaining and you can either not go to class or not read and get a decent grade. Pick one, do the work and give him what he wants on the exam and it's an easy B/B+.

Prof. Veitch was the best lecturer that taught me at UNB. The man is a laugh riot and his lectures are amazingly detailed. People who dig the nerdy side of law school do not like him because he is a lawyer as much as he is an academic, and so he does not waste time with all of that Socratic nonsense and philosophical posturing that is useless.

Honestly - the best class I ever had - difficult material but his laid back attitude and excellent teaching skills made it interesting and enjoyable. He jokes so if your a prude he's not for you.

Feel Big Brother watching you? It's most likely Veitch. Seems to know what's happen' in Freddy at any given moment. Jokes and humour should supplement teaching, not replace it. Marking also suspect.

A nice guy and an interesting speaker with lots of stories, but a confusing prof. Goes through 100 pages a day, spends about 1 minute on each case, and his remarks about cases don't seem to match up when you read the case. I'm convinced he doesn't always read the papers (marks for Leaseholds came out less than a day after papers were due).

just when I thought nothing could be entertaining at 8:30 am, he manages to crack me up. This class is not for the faint of heart or sensibilities- but teaches you, and does it well. VERY PRACTICAL!!
