I am a pretty good student, had all 80's in other classes. Went to every class, handed everything in on time and still managed to get a D on everything. She is such a hard marker, and doesn't give you feedback you can improve with

All the comments below are relatively true. She is a pretty difficult marker and to be honest I think she went easy with me. Got all B+'s until the last midterm essay, which was fairly unreasonable. Participation is mandatory for in class assignment unless you want to do a 20% end of term in class assignment, which is brutal.

If you can avoid taking her classes I would HIGHLY recommend it, she's the hardest marker I've ever had. Students went to the dean because her marking was so unfair, she's scary to go up to because she basically will make fun of your work

absolutely do not recommend this professor. She is a difficult marker and will not say how to improve. Asked to redo a paper where she gave me no marks for my actual writing and she would not let me because "I had too much on my plate". Quite rude when you ask for clarification of a question and does not care about student well-being or passing.

I can go to Google and obtain the same information I am getting in this course that I pay 800 dollars for. Second time taking a class with her; I sincerely do not understand how she has not been reprimanded or let go. Very bitter and rude towards students, punishes those who do not come to class, and doesn't post slides.

She's a hard marker, no compassion for her students, will sometimes ignore your emails depending on what they're about, and is rude. Don't waste your time on her course because you will likely not receive the mark you deserve... Take my word for it.

Absolutely one of the worst professors I've ever had. She is not clear in her grading criteria and does not give valid reasoning behind her marking. Her online class is beyond difficult as it is very textbook heavy and she is not quite clear on the learning outcomes of the chapter. Should definitely not be allowed to teach another online class.

Awful teacher, I would NEVER take a class with her again. Her grading scheme is impossible to achieve and her comments are backwards and not understandable. it is as though she does not want you to succeed. Horrible experience, very rude and demeaning in nature. Does not try to explain anything in a different way if you dont understand her.

Nonstop note writing. No final exam which is nice, but the mini assignments that have to be done throughout the course are toughly graded & you are lucky if you get a B on them. Attendance is mandatory, if you miss 1 class you miss a key chunk of info for the course & she doesn't post the slides. She's not the worst prof ever, but expect to get a C

She is a great prof and you will do well doing exactly what she wants on her assignments. She is always willing to help although her tone and communicating can sometimes come across as unfriendly or brash. She even helped with other issues I was having in other courses. Wish she taught more courses. Wants all the best for her students!

Her written responses are difficult to do well on, guidelines are a bit unclear as to what she expects. She gives you writing tips at the end of the course which is counterproductive and she expects you to attend every lecture. Does not post slides or want to help you. She also does not like talking or texting or computers, she will call you out.

Her expectations seem impossible to reach, and she likes to punish people who don't attend class. I attended all lectures and still wasn't overly successful and her lectures are so boring! My second time taking a class with her, was hoping that different material would make me like her more but not the case! I would avoid her if at all possible.

She is a horrible professor. Rude, unhelpful, and incredibly boring. Her lectures drag on and rarely actually "teach" you anything. Her assignments are unclear and her feedback is unhelpful. Typically, I get along with professors really well or can at least tolerate them, but she is an absolute nightmare.

She is an awful professor. Shows zero interest in her students. Provides very poor feedback. Her grading metrics are very arbitrary. I will never take another sociology course again because of this women.
