I had her for a Messina nutritional bio course, and despite what everyone says, she's a really good teacher, and person. I seriously don't understand how you could get a bad grade in the class though considering basically everything we learned was common knowledge that is relatable to everyday life. Super chill, & everyone i know of got a B.

She was always very vague about assignment requirements and what we needed to know. She only explains things one way, and if you don't get it you have to figure it out on your own. Nice lady outside of class, but if you need accommodations she is reluctant.

She doesn't like structure or telling people what to do, which means its a pretty chill class. I had her for a nutrition course, and I liked it. I can imagine how her lack of structure would be bad in a proper science course though. I thought the powerpoints were clear enough from what I saw. A fun person to be around and talk to.

I had her for loaves and fishes which is a nutrition alpha class. She was such a hard grader and put trick questions on exams and quizzes. Her powerpoint sucks. Avoid if possible !!

Treats you like a child but then expects you to understand everything. There is always that one question on quizzes you must be psychic to answer. Not helpful and very annoying in lecture. Doesn't take attendance but class is "mandatory".

knows a lot of info, pretty funny lady, but not so good with the teaching. i've had her for process and for ecology evolution and biodiversity, and shes pretty slow and is not too clear. but is fun to have around and to waste time with, definitely more so than the other derrickson. wouldn't recommend her for advising though lol but nice lady!!

So nice, great professor, even though I wasn't a bio major. Took Ecology, Evolution and Diversity as a science core, and I was a miserable student. Still, I learned a lot even if I didn't get such a good grade. Kept up a good relationship with her in the following years.
