Dr.Brake is clearly brilliant but in this class, she was, equally clearly, out of her element. She may know a lot about Kant, but she doesn't know how to teach him!The classes were incredibly boring and filled with awkward silences. Sometimes teachers who are used to great discussion forget that when it comes to History of Phil, lectures are better

She was absolutely fantastic. Very clear and entertaining. Always enjoyed her lectures, she makes concepts easy to grasp. She's such a sweet person, and just adorable overall. Loved her and would take a course with her again! She even made an effort to learn everyone's names.

Very good professor. Clear in what she expects. Gives really clear outlines for her exams and assignments as to what she expects. Going to classes is not mandatory but it helps you understand because she is very good at explaining and teaching. Really great professor :)

Wow, I'll agree with the last comment...she is a beautiful woman. But this is to rate her teaching, which is amongst the best at the uofc in my opinion. Razor sharp in what she knows (literature and philsophy) crystal clear communication skills, extremely friendly....professors should sit in on her classes and learn how to teach. Amazing.

Amazing Teacher, very knowledgeable albeit in the analytic tradition...and stunningly hot, she is the librarian everyone has a secret crush on. Very elegant and proper lady. Crystal clear communication skills, very well spoken. What professors should be like.

She is one of the best prof's I've ever had. She will try everything she can to help you. If you ever have a comment regarding her teaching methods, she will do her best to accomodate to the class. It really pays to keep up with her readings.

Super friendly and nice... she had patience with me and i'm not the greatest student out there, that earns her my respect for sure... never did discover the point of the course though... it seemed like an english or philosophy course more than anything else, but she's very approachable; good prof :)
