Very very sweet lady! Not much homework, you just have to read which isn't hard. The only thing is the public speaking, but you would only have 2 speeches. But for someone who doesn't like public speaking, it was scary but overall she is very supportive and will give you feedback!

Professor Corea was an interesting teacher, I really enjoyed her class. I sat up in front and participated, which was a good decision. If you did not participate or not show up, it would be very hard to pass her Intro to Speech class. READ THE BOOK. She was very helpful outside of class. I would take this class again.

She can be a sweetheart but when she is under pressure BEWARE. The class was rather confusing,often got off topic and talked about being one with the earth. That being said, read the book take your own notes, and you'll do okay. Protip: Show interest, ask questions and if you get a bad grade show concern, she may be less harsh on you in the future!

She means well, but honestly makes no sense. Good luck translating her if you are taking a class with her. She is an extremely harsh grader and expects you to memorize her assignments and does not like when you ask questions. Also, she loses things often and will not tell you that she did not receive it at the end of the semester. Do not reecomend

Corea means well and is a nice lady but she literally makes no sense. i have had multiple classes with her and she gives no instruction, horrible study guides and is the hardest grader when it comes to papers. One good thing about her is that she never wants to see a student fail and she will offer extra credit and do what she can to help you out.

She did not know what she was talking about when it came to public speaking. There was one speech the whole semester. I thought this class was public speaking?! We only read from the book and did not have homework or papers to help us understand the material. She often got off subject and did not offer much assistance to problems. I would not take!

Effective Speaking was useful, but painful some days. She is super nice but sometimes gets off topic and talks for hours about nothing. We had about 5 major speeches, but she prepares you well. Ask questions and she is glad to help.

Prof. Corea is somewhat boring, but often funny. Reading the book isn't enforced in class, but she'll stick to all of the guidelines in it for speeches (which surprised me). You do five speeches total with an easy midterm and final at the end. I did improve with my speaking skills, it's just a slow class.

Dont really do much in class when not giving speeches. You give like 5 speeches in total. She does give you a rubric for every speech. She is nice, shes a little out there sometimes. But its an easy class and grade. Definintly recommend it.You do also learn some helpful speech tips.

She's so nice! The class is easy if you know what she wants from you, but she's often not clear about her expectations and didn't provide us with rubrics for presentations. We didn't use the book much in class but the final questions came directly from it. Most of the stuff on the final, we didn't talk about in class. Study and you'll do well! :)

Prof. Corea is really nice, teaches an easy class, and clearly loves her job. The class was so simple and you only needed the text book for the one class where you present an article. Class is largely based on your opinion. If you have an opinion, voice it and you'll get an A...doesn't matter whether she agrees or not, she loves devil's advocates.

I had Professor Corea for Cultural Apsects of media Representation. I found that she was very unorganized, chose a lot of favoritism and was very confusing of what she wanted. She is very rude when certain students participate by reacting as though the comments or question were unappropriate. If you are not a favorite, so won't grade accurately.

boring, disorganized, and really just a waste of time. you have no leeway on speeches: you talk about topics she likes (technology, medical info), or she penalizes you for it. don't get me wrong, she is extremely nice and caring, but the class is horrendous. i def. wouldn't reccomend it
