Honestly one of my favourite professors! She makes her lectures fun and engaging as the term goes on. I highly recommend going to the lectures and just listening, I barely had to read the textbook because she explains everything so well. I can see why some find her slides confusing but if you go to class youll easily understand whats happening!!

This courses material isn't hard for me, personally PS261 has harder concepts yet i'm doing worse in this course. At the start I went to most of the lectures but as the year went on I found it useless. She has 3 midterms plus a cumulative exam, and each one is impressively difficult even if you studied a lot for it. Good luck and read the textbook.

If you can take a class with Dr. Olds with fewer students (e.g., 30), I highly recommend doing so. She's very funny one on one, and she absolutely cares for her students. I think she just has trouble teaching larger groups. I loved this class a lot. The textbook is absolutely necessary, and there's opportunity for a 4% grade boost (extra credit).

To do well in this course you need to read the textbook extensively and follow Dr. Olds lecture notes. There are few surprises on her exams, but they are very challenging. Overall Dr. Olds was a good professor, she is extremely intelligent and definitely wants to foster student learning. There are also lots of bonus mark opportunities!

Although she is very nice, her class is tough. Provided many examples throughout the course but she tends to not be clear as to why she is providing the examples. She is hard to follow along. Rather just not go to class and read the textbook. Sometimes when asking questions, feels like she doesn't know the answer and avoids answering questions

Amazing Professor, she makes the classes interesting and can joke around. Her exams have no tricks and if you did the textbook readings and looked at her slides you'll do great. She gives lots of chances for you to bring up your mark and she's also super nice. She is probably the best professor I've ever had

Dr. Olds struggles to organize lecture slides in a logical way. She has many slides with random images and does not clearly explain the relevance to class material. I attended every lecture but found that I was more confused after trying to listen to her. If you want to understand the material and do well in this course just read the textbook.

I didn't want to take this course. I took this course to fill a time slot and meet my credit demands for the term. I am absolutely blown away at how interesting she made the material, how quick she was to respond to questions, how thorough her notes and examples were. You can tell she loves the material and wants her students to succeed. AMAZING!

Dr. Olds is a great prof. She's a bit awkward but her lectures are thorough. The demos she uses in class really help and she truly does care about her students. Tests are tough with loaded questions but as long as you attend lectures, read the text and keep up with the syllabus, you'll grasp the concepts. Even better if you find material interesti

Probably the worst professor I've ever had. Her lectures are unclear and not always correct. The majority of her exams are trick questions. She makes her review crazy easy but her exams are hard as hell. She's not a clear lecturer and when she does start saying something important, she mumbles so you have no idea what she's saying. Avoid if you can

All of the midterms were extremely difficult. I have a good grasp on the concepts of the course (I'm an active class go-er and read each chapter twice- yeah I know, twice) and her mc questions are still difficult for me to understand and answer. This class has definitely been a struggle for me and I pray for everyone else who has to take it.

Only took this course because it's mandatory for my major. Definitely struggled communicating with this professor, she also constantly changed my marks on My Learning Space with zero explanation unless asked. I understand the material completely but her tests don't make sense. Never failed a course but this might be the first, unfortunately.

Worst professor I've ever had. I highly recommend avoiding her as professor because I will never be taking a course taught by her again. She was EXTREMELY rude and condescending to myself and several of my classmates. If your looking for a smart and kind professor who cares about their students, I recommend any other professor at WLU.

Very intelligent and good with her own research, but teaching is not her strength. If you want to take a course where you're going to have to teach yourself all the material, then this is for you! Don't do it. Just don't.

Dr. Olds is a great prof. If you attend the lectures and pay attention you will do well. The text should be used to compliment her lecture material. The content of the course is hard but the prof does a good job at helping you to understand it. I received an A+ in this course and it was my best of the term.

Anyone who says she is a bad professor is crazy. If you read the textbook and pay attention in lecture you will do fine. She cares about her students and tries to help you remember. She simplifies things as much as possible for a course like this. I suck at courses like this and it turned out to be my highest mark.

Worst prof I have ever had. Her lectures & lecture slides make no sense at all. I memorized all of the concepts in the text and still failed the course because of her ridiculously hard multiple choice questions. AVOID HER IF YOU CAN!
