Entertaining professor, and helps you out if you're having a problem with the assignments. I think you have to have interest in this aspect of Journalism to apreciate this class to it's full potential. We didn't use the wheel so don't buy it!!

Smart guy. Interesting. But I can barely use a MAC, so I'm not doing a great job. I don't really know what to tell you, except this is required for a JRN major or minor. You'll have to take it, and Parker is supposedly the best instructor. And for your sake, I pray you're creative visually.

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE MAN!! He is HORRIBLE! He does not teach ANYTHING! He hands out assignments and you are stuck trying to figure out how to use InDesign. Don't buy the books or wheel! He'll say you need them, they cost about $200, and you won't open either book once and still pass the exams!! Take this class if you do NOT want to learn!

I learned a bit about how InDesign works, but I don't think I could recognize a good layout if it bit me. It wasn't hard to get a good grade, but I don't think I learned much that will benefit me later. Parker often went off on tangents that had nothing to do with class. I don't think he gave us the university SOS forms at the end of the semester.

I think he is a great guy who knows alot. Most JRN class are east A's. But not with this guy, I think thats why everyone else is so upset. Take him for 302 I did, and got an A.
