The worst prof I've had in my first year. Hard marker, very disorganized, and every time she wrote on the board, her writing was all over the place and ineligible. I took four years of core french in high school and found this course difficult given her teaching style. Also noticed that some students dropped out halfway through the first term.

Definitely one of the worst profs I have ever had. The course was very disorganized and for all the time she talked about how important it is for a teacher to effectively teach content she never did. She encourages class participation but then cuts you off when you disagree with her. Very self-righteous person and she also never explains grades

Not only is she the worst prof I've ever had, she is also one of the worst people I've ever had the displeasure of knowing. Absolutely rude, unprofessional and disorganized. Lectures are never structured, expectations are never clear, and she will make passive aggressive comments towards you when asking for clarification. Don't take her classes.

Grodek is an overall great person, with a passion for French literature specifically, and she honestly cares about her students, wanting them to do well. BUT, she is a TOUGH grader, especially when it comes to essays... she is also a frazzle lecturer with incredibly messy writing and no lesson plans (ever!!)

Dr. Grodek is fantastic! She is so easy to talk and cares very much about her students. She gets to know each one individually and will know your name by the end of the term. She assigns fair amounts of work and explains herself very well. I had her in first year and I am taking 3P03 and 3C03 with her again because I enjoyed her teaching so much.

Such a great prof! A lot of people seemed to be intimidated to take this class, because it requires a lot of effort. But you will get a great mark if you do the work! She's super nice and funny. She really wants you to do well. I want her to be my thesis professor!

She is very knowledge in so many categories which makes this course very interesting. She has a high standard which is put there to make you work. And that you do. However, the wealth of knowledge that you accumulate is rewarding at the end and your level of french definitely improves as well. Amazing prof.

really nice and helpful. if u took gr.12 fr and understand fr you should be fine. fair marker. u need to go to class, she takes marks off if u dont. tests & final were easy, quizs u need to study there are alot. lit is easy, she goes through it all.

She is one of my favourite profs. I have her for a 3 hour night course and she is great at keeping it interesting. She is hilarious and passionate about teaching us and the seems to really care how we do. She is very approachable and sensitive to the needs of people who come from various different types of french speaking backgrounds.
