Took her for Calc I over the summer and 10/10 recommend, I'm decent at math but not the best. The way she presents her class makes it easy to understand. Show up on time and do the included work and you'll understand and do well. Also a very generous partial credit grader. My only regret is she doesn't teach calc 2 or 3.

I have taken numerous hard math classes before, being engineering major, and this has been the worst math class I have taken so far. She tries to make it unnecessarily hard for what the course is worth. It seems as if she hates her job, her lectures are boring and grading is strict and she doesn't give enough feedback. Wouldn't recommend.

Took her over the summer her study guides are the same questions as the test just with different numbers. Tests are 75% of the grade so really do the study guides

Professor Ross is awesome. You most definitely have to attend class because you're given quizzes every week at the beginning of class. So don't be late. She does lecture, but she will explain everything thoroughly. Honestly, I hate math but she made me like it again. She gave hope. She will help you with online, outside homework if you ask.

She pretty much just reads her notes and writes them on the board. Basically doesn't teach just recites her notes. I usually do very well in any math class but I would get frustrated at times because she wasn't really teaching.

She wasn't helpful at all and her tutors do the job instead of her most of the times. Her lecture is boring and she simply writes down what's on her note on the blackboard and that's it. She's not that kind or she doesn't look interested in helping students.

Took her class online, first mistake. She's a tough grader, it could be the departments fault though. 15 quizzes100 pts, 58 homework assignments100 pts, 4 tests400 pts and final200pts. If the grading system was more evenly spread out it would be easier to get a good grade. NO extra credit, study study study!!! She's also rude when you ask q's.

Professor Ross was a bit difficult to communicate with; I took her online 1030 College Algebra course. She rarely emailed me back when I had questions and when she did, she was disrespectful/passive aggressive. I really didn't appreciate the way she treated me. She wasn't the worst instructor, but definitely not teacher of the year.

She teaches quickly, but will stop if someone asks a question. Lecture notes are posted online. Lab sessions are critical to getting questions answered and doing homework. Extra quiz/test reviews are posted online and very similar to actual quizzes and tests. Lectures were sometimes boring, but overall Emily Ross is a good math teacher.

Emily is an excellent lecturer. My biggest complaint is that the tests are often before the homework is returned (sometimes before it is due) so if you don't have a grasp on the concepts but THINK you do, you have no chance to fix it. M1800 and M1320. Her pet peeve is tardy students and will start counting attendance as quiz grades (easy points!)

I felt that professor Emily Ross was on a bit of a power trip. She is pretty difficult to get to respond to you and is also overly and abruptly harsh when it comes to participation or going out of her way for the student in any way. I received an A, but that's because I tested into calculus but decided to take college algebra instead.

Emily is a really great teacher. I took Calculus as a summer class and it was pretty jam-packed with information. Going to class is a must, and don't show up late or she'll call you out! Sometimes the information she provides is not very clear, so I went online and watched videos to supplement the information. Expect 3 tests and a final in summer.

Decent Professor, will teach in a voice that will make u fall asleep. If u don't understand just talk to her and she will help you. Class itself is very easy. Try to go to classes as you will understand the quizzes and HW better this way. Again Decent Professor.

She is awesome! I had her for Calc 1 and she really helped! At first she seemed to be a strict prof. but I later found out that she really is there to help and genuinely cares for her students learning names within the first month. If you need help DO NOT HESITATE to ask her for help, she's great about it, never made me feel like a bother.

She never helps with any questions that you have. I did this class online and really struggled with it. I tried talking to her via email with little receipt of communication. Late to test dates and things that were on the review were not on the test.

She is awful! No math teacher should grade homework for accuracy especially when she gives you homework problems you have never covered before. She makes you feel like you're in 3rd grade all the time and she's just not a nice lady.I'm not a math person and I struggled hard for a B.

I had her for finite math and I love her classes. She give a lot of notes but her tests and quizes are exactly from her notes. She will help you out if you don't understand something. She has reviews for the tests that really help.
