He is a very dedicated professor! Always available and encouraging questions in his lecture. Note that he is adamant on 2 things, no electronic devices in his class, and no washroom breaks allowed in test/exams.

Eric is awesome! In his classes he encourages questions and that has been very very helpful. He is willing to go the extra mile to help students understand the content as best as they could. Given that ECON307 is heavy on statistics and difficult to understand for some people, these attributes are incredibly helpful.

Did not post notes so you had to go to class. Electronics (including computers) were banned in class. Explained things very quickly and were not the same type of things in the textbook questions. Roughly 70 of us started the class about 20 left by the end of the semester. Tests were very difficult and had a lot harder of questions than were in clas

Maybe 15% of the exam is actually taught during the lecture, everything else you're on your own to learn it from the textbook and the workbook (yes, they are 150$ each). We started out with 70 people in the class and after the 2nd midterm we are now about 25 in the class. Gives you an idea of how many people actually like his class...

He doesn't allow bathroom use during exams, bans phones/laptops during lectures, and doesn't post notes. You're expected to read the textbook before and after the class because he knows he doesn't do a good job of teaching. Finally, you need to buy a workbook and a textbook because apparently we will be making a lot of money when we graduate.

Doesn't post notes so you have to go to class. Lectures are good and he shows you what he is going to do at the start of each class, so they are well laid out. Quite a few questions on the tests are from the optional practice problems he gives you. So if you actually do them you can do well in the class. One of my favourite profs. Recommended.

He is a fair marker, his marks hard but fair. He relies heavily on the assumption that you have done the readings before class, if you haven't you will find it difficult to follow along as this is unlike any other Econ class at the UofS. I would take another class with him if I could.

Friendly, corny guy. Approachable, and good at teaching the basics, but some of the more complex topics his explanations will leave you scratching your head.

he is always in a good mood but can be a little corny at times but is very helpful. it is an econometric type of class so you will have to practice the formulas and practice eviews to understand the subject because a little mistake could cost you huge marks. so make sure you practice the formulas and eviews to get a good mark in the class.

OK. AND. THE. SO. take his class and find out what I mean. Aside from that he is a very smart man. the people who knock his 211/214 classes probably shouldn't continue in economics... that was nothing. believe me!
