Absolutely fantastic. It's really a shame that the guy is retiring. Although the books we read weren't always my cup of tea, he always had something interesting to say that often affected how I perceived things. He made me want to major in English.

McCormack is a riot, his accent and sense of humour make his lectures great (even when he goes off on tangents, which is pretty frequent). The readings were all at least enjoyable and he is fair about papaers and tests. I would take another course with him for sure.

I personally thought McCormack was a weeny. He always seemed to put people down and belittled people's ideas as soon as they were spoken. Anyway, the class was pretty easy and you can tell he really loves teaching. He really loves his cats too....

Eric is the most interesting prof I have ever had, very humorous and entertaining. He makes the subject matter come to life with his adorable scottish accent. I highly reccomend him to anyone!

Pleasant to listen to, and none of the '3 hr lectures' went more than 1.5 hrs. The essay was fair. On the two tests, he gave us the possible questions in advance, and said he'd pick one, but on the final he gave us our choice. Very interesting, gives books as prizes. Never use the word simplistic.

I wish i could have him as a proffessor for every class. He is absolutely hilarious and makes old english interesting and fun. I love the way her reads poetry and he is generally a very nice man! Absolutely recommended!
