Comment:
Professor Sager was able to make the really dry subject of Canadian History interesting and exciting. His lectures were great, it would be really helpful to go. A bit of a tough grader. If you're someone who would rather have a lot of small assignments instead of 2 short papers don't take a course with him. His office hours are moderately helpful.

Absolutely amazing professor. He made a topic I was not interested in all that much, to be awestruck and mystified by it. This guy is such a good lecturer. You need to attend class and do all the essays and exam to pass. The best or one of the best classes I have ever taken in my life. I will never forget it and the things I learnt.

Dr. Sager is a fantastic lecturer. Started off a little slow at first, but once we got into it the course was extremely interesting. His lectures are thought provoking and very in-depth, and he considers all sides of every argument. Overall, fantastic.

Good pace to sports history lectures; bordering on slow, but not boring and it's good for note-taking. Even with the microphone, his voice doesn't carry especially well in the large lecture hall, so that takes some getting used to. No confusion at all concerning the material; chronological order of events. Different focus everyday; keeps it fresh.

awesome prof. very smart, asks you difficult but intriguing questions. doesn't use moodle, but he's old school that way. option of essay or short commentaries was nice. Power, Protest, and Resistance was a great class. Great!

Sager was a fantastic prof and is obviously very interested and well informed on the topics he teaches. His 'Hockey Night in Canada' class was awesome. First term teaching this particular class. Lots of chances to do well in the class: Weekly quizzes, 4 essay responses, participation marks and final worth only 20% of grade.

Dr. Sager is one of the best teachers I have ever had. He is engaging, interesting and encourage students to really dig into the material. Power, Protest and Resistance in Canada was the topic. Not for students who don't want to read assigned readings, come to class, discuss, or know how to critically think. Take classes with him!

A great prof, really passionate about his class. Made me actually interested in Canadian history. Tells you exactly what will be on finals and is very willing to help with essays. Gives good feedback on papers and makes it easy to improve. However i would strongly advise attending class, he may even dance if your lucky

decent lecturs for quite a boring class, marks papers hard without considering half the students had never written a university paper. Final was nothing mentioned before hand it was a huge shock what was on the final. Lectures he gives random terms that dont follow chronlogically and just rambles about that topic.

Good professor. Class discussions are structured in a way that ensures students exchange ideas with each other, and not just the professor. Course content could be a bit dry. Fair marker and a relatively easy-going and nice guy.

Dr. Sager is GREAT! He's very helpful in essay writing; the initial essays are returned with detailed corrections, and if you talk to him before the essay is due, he will bend over backwards to help you find sources, and clarify ideas. The lectures are a little dull, but they are thorough. His class isn't easy, but he'll do what he can to help you.

Wow, really enjoyed the class. A bit tough to focus on a Monday afternoon for 3 hours straight, but aside from that, I thought he was exceptional. Facilitated TONS of class discussion, and as long as you could argue for the position you took, he was very receptive.

I'm amazed at the negative comments here. Eric is one of the best prof's I had. I have 8.0 GPA, so those who whine are probably mediocre students who want to be spoon fed answers.
