Professor Salathe is definitely the BEST calculus teacher. His lectures are super fun and detailed. He will always approach you when he finds you're in trouble with some problem, at the same time teach you a lot of related stuff. Also he doesn't let you to memorize formulas, he'll teach you to solve in the way you can understand the best.

The best math instructor I've ever had at any level. I can honestly say he does a superior job of explaining the concepts and develops a genuine understanding of where all the formulas come from as opposed to direct memorization. Also, a hilarious guy so going to class isn't a chore. Obviously, you still need to do your work, this is college.

Salathe is a great professor. He can be confusing at times; he often loses track of the direction he intends to go with the concept that he is teaching at the moment, but he definitely covers 100% of everything that eventually goes on the test. The tests are a basic assessment of your ability to apply concepts, there are no "tricks" or challenges

Professor Salathe is THE best in the entire math department of Lehigh. Those who think he's tough need to take a class with some other professors... Be ready to work hard cause calculous can be tricky and confusing at times. But luckily Prof. Salathe gets out of his way to make things clear and fun.

Salathe is one of the best math professors I have ever had. He explains everything in a way that allows you to reason through the formulas rather than memorizing a million things. If you go to his class and do the review packet, the tests are not hard and the questions are very fair. (Take calc22 in the fall, it is much easier!!)

Clearest math teacher I've had. He's able to explain topics and concepts very clearly. Go to lectures and pay attention in class and you'll leave with a much more in-depth understanding of calculus. Prof Salathe is a really great calc 2 professor. He's clear, and he really helps you learn the material. What's nice is he shows you where all equations come from, but you don't ever need to prove them. All his quizzes are very straightforward and are very similar to his practice tests. He's really funny in lecture; just don't text or sleep!
