Avoid Haberer for fourth year assignments. he does not make it clear what he expects and will mark you down on essays. I approached him for my fourth year seminar for how to find primary sources and told me just look for them online. Can hardly speak English himself and marks you down gor grammar and whatnot.

He's quite a gem. The metaphor is inadequate. Not only is he adorable, he's as nice and helpful a professor as you could ever want. His office hours are in high demand, but he is always extremely clear about what he expects. Some complain about his accent, but it's very understandable and really adds to the lecture atmosphere. Lectures are amazing.

Erich knows his stuff and cares about his students, but tends to ramble on about things that interest him. Nonetheless, he is a good prof and makes his classes enjoyable and shares his passion with students. He also provides very fair evaluations.

Like everyone else said, his accent is rather thick and makes note-taking fairly difficult. Overall, however, he knows his stuff and does not believe in taking marks off for late assignments. Go ahead, hand it in an entire month late and he won't care!

I've always been torn on Dr. Haberer, he doesn't come across as very approachable, but he is a nice guy and has a good teaching style. He tells you flat out if he is biased and why, which is a nice change of pace. I found his marking average, and his accent can be hard to dicepher, but that can't be helped. Just listen closely, and do your work!

What a great guy! He's so nice and helpful. Was willing to extend essays and the midterm and exams were pretty easy. The class is a little dry because he is hard to understand, but his wonderful personality made up for it.

A realy good prof. I didn't like him for the first two weeks and almost dropped the course! But once you get used to his style, and appreciate his quirks, you will learn a TON, and he always makes himself available if you need his help with assignments. Give this prof a chance... he won't let you down!
