Comment:

Being an upper year student and taking this lower-level class I was deeply amused. I had heard this class was a meme with how she teaches, and the rumours weren't wrong! She is quite experienced, and an industry expert. HOWEVER, this class is severely disorganized. Come to class, and get easy marks.

This class was almost an exact repeat of a class I took with her last year (IR2702). The slides and simulations were very similar. Memorize her weird facts and talk once per simulation and there's no way you don't finish with an 85.

Comment:

Bird course if you just attend class and study for the exams. Participation is easy to get even if you are shy. Exams are solely based off of the powerpoint slides, so study those and a 90+ is easy to get. She doesn't take attendance but some of the things she says in class do show up on the exam.

Although her lectures are a bit all over the place, the exam content is taken right from the slides. 20% of the grade is participation which can be earned by attending guest lectures, simulations and speaking up in class. Overall a really great learning experience.

A funny and intelligent prof. Not your typical Poli Sci class but interesting. 20% of your grade is based on participation, 10% of that is from simulations where if you show up you basically get 100%, they're also fun. She is generous with participation marks and gives many opportunities to earn them. Easy exams taken right from lecture slides.

Prof is very clear with what is on the exam and follows through. Prof has very good general knowledge. In addition to this, the simulations are a great method to participate and learn about subjects you had no idea about. Great experience; highly recommended

She's a really funny and friendly prof. Her exams are easy as long as you spend time studying the slides. All the answers are on her slides which she makes accessible. She doesn't take attendance and it isn't mandatory. She does give participation marks though for attendance at guest lectures and asking questions. Definitely recommend.

Erika lives in an alternate reality. Very nice and clearly knowledgeable on some topics, however, take what she says with a grain of salt. Very easy class in terms of exams and marking, but if you're looking to learn anything I would avoid taking any of her courses!

Great prof if you can sit through name dropping. Incredibly intelligent and knowledgeable as she is a widely known expert in her field. Blunt but interesting to learn from.

Honestly coolest prof I've had. So interesting and quirky, she really pushes you to be your best and to grow while in her class. She teaches you things beyond the classroom, makes it so worthwhile and inspirational. Exams are super fair.

Crazy, but great prof. She truly cares about students and tries her best to make life easier for us. Exams are extremely easy, communicates well and has a whole bunch of interesting anecdotes. Would definitely recommend taking 2141 with her.
