Tough but Fair. Very prepared and structured. Lectures are entertaining and insightful. One of the best teachers I ever had. You will get much out of it and you should. Discrete Math, Data Structures and Computer Architecture compose the foundation of computer science. Put the time into these courses. The rest is technicality.

Comment:

Discrete Math from Carey was great. He understands mathematics. Work hard and study, you will do well. He has a great sense of humor. Much better than he was in 92' when I first had him for C programming.
