Confusing assignment instructions. Course was not heavy on reading/understanding the material, mostly memorization. Only cracked the textbook open for assignments, didn't follow lectures or readings. For final we were expected to memorize a large amount of terms from the course (over 100). If you're good a memorizing, this course is for you.

I found this class to be horrific. 3 essays questions we were to answer were confusing and worded ambiguously. Had to memorize entirely too many terms for the exam. Lectures were boring, he lectured as though he was talking to someone in the field, like you already knew everything - difficult to learn from the lectures.

great prof! this course was not bad~ very detailed textbook and his lectures are a must~ very clear and concise, but everything in essay format (final exam, assignments) so if you are not good with essays then don't take it, otherwise, will do very well!

It is a really good course, i learned a lot. It is however very difficult, esp. if you have not take developmental yet. this was my fav course, but you really have to be on top. it's demanding. (3 assignments and final-all essays/short answer)

He explains the most basic concepts in the most complex way imaginable. This entire course could be summed up in 5 lectures. He just lengthens it out because he'd be out of a job otherwise. Nonsense.
