He is easily the most unorganized professor I've ever had. He doesn't clearly define any assignments. While we were all under the impression that the final paper was due the last week of the semester, he moved it up two weeks forcing us all to write over Thanksgiving break. His unorganization will make your life a nightmare.

Course is extremely unorganized online. Lectures are slow and very monotone, readings assigned may not even apply to the tests. Seems nice, and he means well and all, but that doesn't change how awful this course is. Could be a better professor in person. If you want a fun, engaging online professor, I wouldn't take this course with Dr. Skinner.

Really nice guy but just not consistent with what he says the class will be like in the syllabus. He said there would be 15 possible journal entries and if you did 10 you would receive full credit, but there were only 11 and the grading wasnt how he had described. Seems to have a little trouble commmunicating so expectations are usually unclear.

Skinner is a good person but can rub some people the wrong way. The exams were online and we had 3 times to take them. The journal entries were easy as well. He takes attendance every class so show up. He didn't want this class to be stressful and it wasn't.

Unclear on due dates, doesn't know how to use the internet properly, expects way too much for people with a busy schedule. Ridiculous grading standards. Has a day every week where we're supposed to go do our major assignments, but proceeds to have lectures instead during the time.... Probably the worst professor for anyone with lots to do.

After taking both TCOM 3550 and 3660 in the same semester, some warnings: he is not often prepared for class, typically asking the class what we were doing that day, or what class it even was, so expect dysfunction. Dr. Skinner is a really awesome guy though. He cares for each student and wants to see you exceed above all else, a great guy.

He is a good guy, but can be a hard teacher sometimes. Expects a lot from his students. His tests are not extremely difficult but the questions are not always very clear. He is very helpful and wants students to do well, however can sometimes be a little hard on them.

Awful. He's unorganized and constantly goes off topic. He spent 30 minutes trying to figure out YouTube one day. He is always changing his Power Points and has a hatred towards Film Majors. He always puts them down and makes everyone feel stupid if they make one mistake. Avoid this man if at all possible.

Extremely confusing. Goes off topic. Sometimes flies through 40+ slides in 15 minutes some days you won't get past 1. Quizes usually cover small pieces of info not important, and not the "whole picture." Videos are always on quizes. LOTS OF BUSY WORK. Lots of papers. Lots of blackboard work. TERRIBLE TEACHER great guy. Comes to class late every day

Very disappointing class. Skinner did not explain things, went completely off syllabus and was hesitant to accept any work that was late. His assignments were rarely announced or clearly explained. He had a knack for making students feel stupid in front of the class. Very patronizing. I changed my major because of this class.
