I had a course with Prof. Sharifi in Winter 2011. I cannot say how thankful I am to this man. He has changed my perspective towards study and degree. He introduced world of mechatronics to me and inspired me to move forward with great confidence. He was also very helpful after the course done and helped me in finding my current job.

He is number one in my list. Difficult to know him. But once you know, you will like and trust him a lot. He is very knowledgeable and hard working professor. I wish we had more like him. He is not easy professor at all. I warn you. If you are serious about learning, approach him.

By far one of the worst instructors Ive had in a long time. He's really smart and a very apable teacher but he has no interest in teaching a class. He shows up 10 minutes late to most of his lectures, copies down the book, and expects us to figure it out. The book used is full of mistakes, typos and not very clear. Made an otherwise fun course bad.
