As an SDRC student, I've had a very difficult time with Dr. Jordan--she did not seem to understand that she is legally required to abide by my university-approved accommodations and I have had to reason with her in the past. Otherwise, she's fine--her tests are manageable if you study and she does care that you succeed in the course.

Dr. Jordan is one of the best professors I've ever had. She is so caring and loving. She's also very pretty. She gives great lectures because she's so animated. Her tests are fine as long as you study. No final, just a short paper. I'm taking her class again and would take more from her if I wasn't graduating. She responds to emails right away.

This class was absolutely awful. She goes over time almost every lecture. The grading criteria is unclear. She doesn't follow the syllabus. Tests are poorly designed and worded which causes confusion. She reads directly off the PowerPoint slides. The class was difficult because of the teacher, not the material. I would highly NOT recommend.

Her lectures are basic, not the worse but not too exciting. She is really sweet, but not so great a professor. Hardest course I've taken and not because of the work. Doesn't follow her syllabus. Exams are awkwardly worded which makes it difficult. 3-4 exams and a paper. Wouldn't recommend. NEVER taking her again.

Love, love, love Dr. Jordan. She was very clear, easy to follow and engaging. She does give hard tests. I like the posted power points. She really cares about her students. She definitely was one of my favorite professors at FSU.

She gets off track almost immediately, and none of her stories are funny, but she'll laugh for ten minutes anyway. Her tests are fine, but worded a little strangely. The worst part about her is that she is so ambiguous! Good luck trying to get any of your questions answered! Even questions about assignments! RUN AWAY! FAST! I wish I could.

This is a mix of grad and undergrad students. I get the vibe that I speak for a good number. JJ is awful at lecturing, her teaching is all jargon and personal antidotes (none have punchlines, the stories just fizzle). The textbook is overly topical and poorly designed (poor color scheme making it harder than it should be to read).

DO NOT TAKE HER. Overall nice but she gets off track very easily and never finishes the slides. Attendance is MANDATORY, although she makes it seem that it is not.

Bubbly person, terrible teacher. The class has interesting discussion, but her lectures are unclear and can get boring since she reads them verbatim from the slides. Her grading policy is crazy, but you get points for coming to class, which helps increase your grade if you're struggling. Wouldn't recommend taking her.

Don't do it. The TA will likely never get around to grading your tests or papers, will give you false information regarding the attendance policy and the class itself won't be taught well at all. "Dr. JJ" reads the PP's word for word and asks you to recall arbitrary information for the exam. First C I've ever gotten.

talks to students like they are children. RIDIC tests. tested on material from a different class that she didn't even teach. not that she even teaches, she just tells stories about being a black female and uses power pt slides. attendance is mandatory! grads had 3 essay exams and a project. not an easy A!

Not a very good teacher; talks to her students in a very condescending manner, as if they are middle school or high school students, not college students. Reads word for word off of the power points, so it's kind of pointless to go to class, but you do get points for attending. If you read the book, you'll do great on the tests.

Definitely not a good class if you're not interested in the subject. While Dr.JJ is enthusiastic and cares about the material her examples are lengthy (often at the expense of finishing her lectures) & are generally about her own family. PowerPoint based & moderate use of the book. Basically, read the book and study the p.p.s and you can get an A.

Awful teaching style - treats her students like elementary school students and only reads off her powerpoints; this is not "teaching"! Does not offer any intellectual insight into the subject and is rude/dismissive to students with opinions that differ from her own. Most useless class I've taken at FSU.

If you are a good student you will most likely get a B. I really like Dr. Jordan, shes nice, kind of funny, animated, and pretty easy going. She doesnt bombard you with useless assignments, just a couple tests, quizes & a paper. Try to go to class everyday and take notes, if not she posts the powerpoints online. She is somewhat disorganized but coo

Her class is such a bore. Her teaching style is weird...not engaging at all. Her TAs teach the lessons better than her. Her tests are very easy though...I think she should be teaching 5th graders instead. She means well though, very polite.

I liked Dr. JJ! I thought she was really nice and the tests were fair. Our class tended to get off topic but that was mainly the students fault. I would recommend her classes! They are fun. There is a final project but it was a group project so it wasnt that hard.
