Comment:

The class was kind of fast-paced but Felipe was always ready to answer any questions or clear up any confusion. He had a lot of funny stories and cultural tips for when youre out in the Hispanic world. He was a fair marker and gave really good test reviews. He made the class feel like a community and remembered everyones names.

Felipe was an amazing prof! I had him for introductory Spanish and he really made me want to keep pursuing the language. He has a great teaching style that makes the classes fly by. The homework he gives is reasonable and always relates to what we did in the class that day. Loved the class!

wouldn't consider him so much a prof but a really great teacher. He truly cares. He goes beyond and tries to teach you about culture! Seeing him during office hours is helpful. Try to learn some basic stuff before you go in because it can move a little fast. Labs are useless. DONT MISS MORE THAN 3 CLASSES

felipe is a great prof. he is very helpful in his office hours, and encourages students to ask questions. he gives hints for surprise quizzes so you can study ahead. he is literally the only reason im considering intermediate Spanish.

Great Prof!!!! Amazing guy. Really fun class. He was extremely helpful and I still talk to him after the class is done. I always talk spanish in the halls of the university with him. Great spanish teacher pick him if you can.

Felipe was a great prof. I took both beginner and intermediate Spanish with him. He's passionate about Spanish culture and shares interesting tidbits with the class. I know some people had trouble because he went pretty fast through concepts. It helps to have some background in Spanish. I would recommend him.

The best intro language prof I've ever had, and one of the best profs overall. He is always available to answer your questions, emails, etc. He's a really fair marker too. His humour and wit make his classes all the more interesting!

I thought he was ok.For me the class was very easy but I had previous knowledge of Spanish-I think for a real beginner it would be somewhat difficult.I found that at times he wasn't really flexible with the way he explained grammar,& sometimes it was the opposite and he would try to explain things in different ways and it would confuse people a bit

Felipe is a great person, has a sense of humour and is very polite to all his students. He takes a personal interest in his class, which I find is unique among profs. However, I did find the class too heavy and it was difficult to keep up because of the fast pace and the amount of work. If you like a challenge, take his classes. Great prof :)

I did not enjoy his class at all, he picked on me in class. He has favorites, and unless you excell in that class do NOT expect any help. I tried to e-mail him asking for help and he ignored me completely. Tests are difficult b/c he takes marks off for simplest mistake! i recomend having taken spanish before going into this class

Comment:

One of the worst profs I have ever had and I had him for 2 classes. He is RUDE to his students so do not expect help outside of class time. Expect lots of homework, nearly all of it related to politics. Do not take a class with him if you can help it. Unless you are fluent in Spanish do not expect a good grade!
