If you are piss poor at design, he'll let you know. Miss class, you'll fail. If you're a baby you'll freak out in his class. No BS. He's torn up my work and also praised it. If you ever want to be anything in this world you'll need to be challenged and Frisk is a great challenger and motivator.

Also glad he's outta there. I didnt think any teacher could make me hate school, but he did. Before I got stuck in 3 of his classes, I was progressing. After Fiske's smart-ass criticism and no-teach method, I lost confidence in my ability to design. Although working hard, my portfolio suffered from his lousy tutelige & suggestions.

yeah, the guy does know what he's talking about, i suppose, but he has no tact. he isn't helpful. he will find fault with pretty much anything- perhaps he finds his value as an instructor in that. he's one of the most unpleasant personalities at the school. exactly the kind of person that should not be teaching.

I had Fiske for alot of classes and let me tell you he is one hell of an ass. But you know what as much of a****that he was he was a great teacher. I learned so much about design from him. I think I learned more from him than any other teacher.

Hard teacher, although I did get a lot of good work out of his class. But it's his way or no way. In a way that's good because in the real world we will have to deal with that. His sarcasm and dry humor isn't a must it just makes the class more tense.

Fiske's method of critiqing is with sarcasm and insults. It's useless to ask him any technical computer questions. He teaches as little ashe can & makes himself scarce outside class. 20+yrs.tenure secure his job but students & profs agree he's worthless
