Father Hanlon is the worst preofessor I've had at Siena after four years. He's boring and takes a really interesting subject (The Family) and makes it uninteresting. Do not take The Family with him. It would be a great class with a different professor.

Extremely opinionated and will let you know it. Know your information from the text and his lessons. Repeats the same stories from time to time but they are interesting. Made certain comments I felt were offensive towards some peoples lifestyles.

Fr. Hanlon's class is relatively easy. Tests are all essay's, short answers, and definitions. Know the definitions like the back of your hand, you will need to write them out!!! Must be very detailed on essay's!! Only drawback: he either gives you full credit on essays or no credit, so you either end up w/ a really good grade or a really bad grade.

Fr. Hanlon is a good professor, his tests are easy if you pay attention in class. He uses his textbook almost every class and attempts to make his lessons interesting. He is a bit repetitive, but overall is a good professor. Take him if you can and focus on vocabulary for his tests!

Very boring, but lets class go out early. Doesn't remind people of upcoming projects/tests. Has very opinionated views that are sometimes insensitive. Very old-fashioned in his personal views, which he lets everybody know. Tests are kinda hard. I've had worse, but he's pretty bad.

This class is horrible. Not only is it boring, but he says some things that make no sense and stories that are definatley pulled out of thin air. There are only 2 tests so all of your work rides on those grades. It seems like he doesnt even know what hes talking about.

this guy should retire, he is one of the worst professors i have ever had...he knows very little about the subject matter and never relates anything to sociology...it seems like he makes up stuff on the spot and the classes are so boring, he sucks
