I took her for 101 and absolutely loved her! So much that I took her again for 102. She really knows her stuff and jokes around a lot with the class. Her lectures were enjoyable and she gives reading quizzes, but they count for next to nothing. Her essays aren't hard and she's more than willing to help you. Definitely take her!!!

I think that she is a very fun and entertaining teacher! She really knows how to connect with her students and make readings a lot more enjoyable. Her essays are difficult if you mess up grammar, but other than, you can do really well. I would definitely recommend taking her.

She's a really fun person as a whole. The class itself is a bunch of reading with daily quizzes. Not too hard. I didn't do well on my first 2 papers, but she is willing to help with how to fix it next time.

I loved this English class. Research papers a whole lot easier than even HS! Lectures get dry, but exams are good. Take her- her essays are a lot easier than the other 101 professors (accord. to my friends).

Most of the literature was, for the most part, centered around feminism or drug/alcohol abuse, but that's OK. Very nice, laid back class. Essays a little bit tough, but she's always available if you want her to look over your work. Pop quizzes intense, tho, but she is generous with points.

I really really liked Professor Butler. She is always willing to help and work with you. You can go to any of her other english 101 classes if you miss yours which is also extremely helpful. She is a really hard grader though. Always read and be prepared for class and you'll do fine!

Professor Butler is a good teacher and she is more than willing to help you with your papers. She is a grammar nazi. Reading assignments just about every night but they are never too long. You write 3 papers and they are all fairly difficult. Quizzes on the reading are almost daily and a bit difficult. Only two test - you NEED to study for both.

Great teacher, REALLY nice and outgoing but compared to taking her for english 101 she was A LOT harder in 102. The papers for this class are pretty difficult, not possible to do them a night or two before and get anyting better than a C if your lucky but she is willing to look over your papers before they are due for errors.

As long as you come to class and do the reading you shouldn't have any trouble. She's such as sweet lady and makes you feel comfortable. Whenever she assigns a paper just take it to her and she'll go through it to let you know what you need to fix. There are everyday quizzes on the readings.

Prof. Butler was awesome! Her class wasn't hard at all. If you read the assignments you'll do fine on the quizzes. Use her office hours, she helps you a TON on papers if you take them to her! I already have her for ENG 102, I wouldn't take it from anyone else. You also get out of class early a lot too, so that's nice!

I loved Prof. Butler. Her assignments aren't hard and she is very willing to help. She doesn't want you to fail just as much as you don't want to. She is a tough grader but if you go to her office hours and have her read it, you are almost guaranteed a decent grade. I highly recommend that you take her.

Despite what some may say, Prof. Butler is an awesome teacher. I had her for both 101 and 102 and while English was not my favorite subject at the time, she taught in such a way to make it humorous and interesting. Soon I will graduate, with a degree in English, no less; I owe many thanks to Prof. Butler for making literature fresh and interesting.
