Professor Cheslik does not give a lot of work. He assigns about three to four mandatory short speeches, and then a final speech. He grades very easily and provides good feedback. There is a required textbook, but you don't need it. He talks a lot, but don't mind it. Come to class and you'll get an easy A, doing very minimal work.

Professor Cheslik is very kind and knows a lot about a lot of things. Beware- he loves to talk to students and will hold you in conversation for a long time. He is a fair grader and does not ask too much of his students.

The class is pretty easy. He gives three speeches, a midterm, and a final. Attendance is essential. You could get good grades on the speeches but if you don't show up he lowers your grade. He talks about the most boring and random things and sometimes it lasts for an entire class. Overall, he's an easy professor. Just show up and do the work.

Sweet guy, loves to rant though. The whole class is spent with him telling irrelevant stories that do not pertain to the class whatsoever. Also, I ignored the reviews below which said he grades as he feels, and they are completely true. I did not get below an A on any speech and in the end received an A-, emailed him and never got a response.

Sweetest professor ever! He tends to rant a lot. But overall he's a fair grader and he just wants his students to do good and improve. He gives decent feedback after each speech and tells you what needs to be improved.

He;s an easy grader, but be prepared for his 20 minute rants. I've never seen a professor rant as much as he does. He's a sweet lil guy though. Speeches don't have to be amazing, but you need to know what you're talking about and enunciate.

Professor Chelsik is a good professor. I took him for speech class and he is really help. He does critique you on your speeches but it is good critique that will help you out. If you are a person who takes things too personally do not take his class. He will tell you exactly what wrong and where you need to improve. He also encourages students.

Each speech had a grading rubric, but even if you get a 4.0 on each individual part he'll give you an A-. I never got below an A- on a speech and ended up with a B+. He grades how he feels like. On top of that, he's boring while thinking he's interesting,and never ask him a question after class, you'll be stuck there for an hour.

Absolutely not! I received A's and A- on all the presentations and he gave me a C+ for my overall grade and missed 1 day of class. Not to mention he lost one of my test grades.I've never feel asleep in class in my entire life(seriously), and every time he opened his mouth my eyes closed. Insanely boring

Wish I'd read the ratings. Easy A for must of the speeches if you speak loudly, audibly and don't read your speech cards the whole time. He loves to go on really boring tangents and repeats himself a lot. His final was ridiculous though!

this class was a waist of my time, he assign 2 page papers for every class to make sure that we did the reading. i Hate this class and i can't stand Cheslik. It's horrible do not take this class with him if you have a choice trust me you will rather pull out each strand of your hair than listen to him blabber.

He tells us first class that he won't assign topics, but really, its more like he doesn't do a thing. He lectured a grand total of 4 days, inconsistently. Give an outline of what should be written but doesn't help at all with speeches. The due dates are broad.

take him.... although he says that a good speaker does not repeat himself, allllll he does is repeat the sameee stories.. BORING.. the speaches are extremely easy!.. i never paid attention, always made niose and laughed during my speaches and i got an A! dont buy the textbook.. you won't need it
