I've taken him three times. He's the toughest grader in the department and often critical in class. But he's also hilarious and knows his stuff well. You really learn a lot from his class, but he makes you work for it.

Paco is a nice guy, but he will bust your butt in 301. Since 301 is the class that breaks you into upper-level Spanish courses, he thinks he needs to make it SUPER difficult. Sometimes he can seem surprised or offended by what students don't know. He'll make you work hard in his class, but your Spanish will improve a lot by the end if you take it.
