Bacon is very old school. He projects handwritten notes on the board for lectures and basically just reads off of them. 4 tests and 1 big homework decide your grade. Tests are 2 part and the comprehensive is usually harder than the quantitative part. Class is difficult but not impossible but I personally didn't learn much from him

Dr. Bacon knows what he's talking about, but he is terrible at formulating lectures and providing good feedback to students. He is the kind of professor that has you scratching your head when you leave class, so you go back and review the chapters on the syllabus just to find out the chapters on the syllabus are from a different book than assigned

Bacon is a great guy - his classes are tough though. His notes can be very confusing and his lectures are a little dry. It'll probably be one of the hardest classes you take but you'll learn so much. He also gives extra credit ( 2 points to your final grade! ) if you attend every class.

Dr Bacon's classes are by far the most challenging classes I've taken, but I have learned SO MUCH! He does not spoon feed the material, but provides the resources and an outline of what he is looking for. If you skip class or try complete assignments the night before, you will not do well. Be ready to show him what you have learned!

His tests are exactly what he gives on the review. He is pretty boring, but he's a sweet guy. He does what he can to make sure you learn and know exactly what you need to know to pass his class. Definitely recommend him!

I was a finance major and had Bacon for all of my classes. He is very tough, but provides you with all of the information that you need to get a good grade. He is very fair as well. He has accepted things from the beginning of the semester late and not taken off any points before because he wants students to do well. He lets you use old books

B O R I N G. That sums up the class. He knows his stuff, but he is bad at presenting it. His lectures consist of old notes he WROTE on computer paper placed on the elmo projector. The he just stands there talking about finance. He does provide everything you need to do well in the class, its just hard to stay awake.

Excellent professor, cares about the success of his students. Works hard to make sure that we learn the important concepts of finance. While he is very tough, he is clear and fair. He provides comprehensive test reviews to force us to be prepared. Great guy.
