My least favorite subject is history and Mr. McDonald made me enjoy his class. His enthusiasm is infectious. Tests are difficult, READ THE BOOK! Always take the Essay option for his tests. Great sense of humor, class is enjoyable!

I bet you could be 45 minutes to class and he will be talking about something totally unrelated. He gets off topic way too much. It might sound awesome, but it's not because he needs to go over stuff for the tests. Monotonous, lame humor, biased. I love history, but I had to dumb myself down to watching youtube videos than reading the boring book.

He is a hard grader,but if you listen and pay attention to what he says in lecture (that actually applies to history-he does get side tracked a lot).I enjoyed his class and his sense of humor sometimes. His tests are 2 essays OR multiple choice plus essays-ALWAYS pick the essays because he explains things thoroughly and doesn't explain about terms.

:Dr.McDonald was an interesting man. He is very passionate about history. However, I do not like history at all. I recieved a C in his class, and A's in all my others. He isn't impossible, but you do have to read and study or you shouldn't bother.

Although he was friendly, he easily got off topic. The long, monotonous lectures, paired with his sense of humor (or lack there of) made for 90 minutes of heck. There were not many homework assignments, which made for VERY subjective grading. Paper is worth large percent of final grade but he gives little direction. Horrible class.

Mr.Mcdonald is a wonderful teacher, who often gets side tracked and lost. Its wonderful to experience a fellow historian just diving into history head first. One of the few history teachers i had that made coorilations. Woonderfull.

McDonald is not easy, but he is awesome. You'll learn all about politics and banking no matter what class you take. Be prepared to read your book, he will not cover all the material in class. Take him if you have the chance, it's a interesting class.

This was a very tough class. Mr. McDonald will cover tons of info in class, but it's impossible to get it all down. A good grade can not be had without reading the book. Being fulltime, I could not keep up with the reading. He's tough at grading tests also. All I can say is prepare for a lot of reading! Good luck!

A great guy, but you have to read the book to pass the class. His lectures digress uncontrollably, but they're still interesting. Never say, "I don't know"...he won't accept it. I never found his tests to be hard as long as I always took the all-essay option and studied the study guide pretty well.

McDonald is the nicest teacher (if he likes you!) His class was a lot of fun and I really enjoyed going to it. His tests are pretty hard, just don't do the multiple choice one. The essays are easier! But take this class with him if you have the chance to! It's great and you really learn a lot!

Mr. McDonald is great. I know he is tough and expects a lot from his students, in the way of essays, exams, and book reviews, however his great humor and knowledge are worth the the time. History was never a favorite of mine until I had his class. Enroll and you won't regret it.
