a very nice person, but his voice is very monotone and the content of the course was so dry already that it was very hard to pay attention. there was so much material and the exams were difficult. i would only take a course from him if i had no other choice.

He is a bit monotonous, but i found him to be very clear, personable and interesting. Before the class i couldn't care less about the subject, 4 years later it still fascinates me. I loved how people's criticisms didn't phase him

All due respect to Prof. Valle, his class was painfully dry and boring. However, he seems to be a very nice person, he is just old and ready to retire..Guys, let's give him a benefit of the doubt that he was once a vigorous, interesting teacher..

Absolutely the worst prof ever in the whole world! Does not teach anything at all. Monotone person. Boring class. Class is 100% memorization. No concept at all needed. So boring and useless, half the class stopped showing

sometimes, you're just tempted to jab your pen on ur neck---->yes, he is that boring. He seems like a nice guy, but dat alone doens't make one a great prof, does it? This guy needs to inject some fun into this class. But hey, midterm was real easy...hopefully the next one n the final will also be a cinch.

If you memorize textbooks well, I would recommend this prof. His notes are not that helpful and his lectures are extremely dull. Tests are not too too bad, provided that you have the textbooks memorized.

Well, i am not saying his lectures are interesting but he is kind, caring, helpful, and knowledgable. His exams are easy as long as you read the textbook plus the course notes. The final exam was not actually that bad. Not hard to get a good mark at all.

His style of lectures is pretty plain in the sense that he follows the lecture guide almost verbatim but otherwise he's a pretty interesting prof. He's also pretty open to questions and exams are not as bad as others have said, however I'm a 4th year so i might have a different perspective

He is NOT as bad as the reviews here led me to believe. That said, he's not great either. Monotone lectures. Mandatory lecture guides that haven't been updated in years. Boring topics. But, if you actually pay attention + do the readings, it's not a hard course.

Comment:
The material for this course was generally interesting, but a little bit too much detail on some unimportant aspects. His testing method was kinda whacked because there was too much info to learn and usually one essay question which doesn't allow for a good demonstration of what you've learned.

He's not as bad as others say he is. Don't get me wrong; I failed the course, lol. Just because I wasn't keeping up with the material though. I almost didn't study at all and I got close to passing (46 percent). 1 thing I agree with the others is that he isn't very interesting..so be prepared. Gluck

His lectures were so boring that people would openly listen to iPods in his class, or chat. I didn't find the midterms that difficult, but the final was brutal - I think he was just getting us back for not listening. Skip this class though, unless you have a friend to chat with. BORING!

Worst prof ever. Absolutely ridiculous. I can't believe he's allowed to teach. I just stopped going to classes entirely after the first test where i realized 90% of his questions are based on the textbook, which by the way, is unrelated to his lectures. SOOOO boring. hard tests.
