Teaches very well, challenges students to justify assumptions. Many students don't like that, especially at BYU--but most who take Gedicks' class enjoy it. Difficult tests . . . time limits, rather than content, make them difficult.

Really great class. Be sure to have a good understanding of con law before taking 1st Amend. Found Westlaw Nutshell very helpful in giving doctrinal history of 1st Amend. Discussion is interesting, fun, stimulating, and sometimes downright crazy.

Good on making you think on your feet. But incredibly unfair in his comments during class regarding the opinion of students and disrepectful to other's points of view. Knew his stuff but couldn't teach it in a cohesive, clear way.
