Absolute nightmare. He is so bad I don't know how he is still allowed to teach?! There is nothing positive I can say about him. Bad teacher, no organization tough grader, unrealistic expectations, doesn't care, not accessible to students, overall a failure of a professor.

Worst Prof in the University of Calgary hands down. Doesn't have a clue about what he is teaching, very unfair when it comes to marking. Doesn't seem to be pleased when students are doing well. Class average was 58%, half class dropped course. Took 2 courses and never again! DO NOT RECOMMEND

Lectures felt long and boring, and basically repeated his own textbook. Tests are long and hard. Do not take this course for fun or as a GPA booster; requires a lot of work (reading) to do just OK. Tests are marked very hard; no room for negotiation. He gets off topic a lot, but even his tangents make you want to fall asleep.

Do NOT take this class! Unless you already have a keen knowledge on constitutional law, Morton is terrible at teaching it. He refuses to curve tests even though the averages are a C- and a D. You basically have to teach yourself, and the textbook (written by him) is out of date. I repeat, DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS WITH MORTON!

The worst prof anyone could imagine. I can not think of one good thing about this prof. His lectures are extremely boring, he can spend full 50 minutes on one slide and next class speed through 30. The work load is beyond realistic and so are his expectations. Long and boring readings from his own textbook. Test are hard 1/3 of the class failed.

Positives: nice guy, good knowledge Negatives: lectures are boring and chaotic, talks about useless stuff, very difficult tests ( 45% of the class got a D or worse) overall it's safe to say he's a terrible prof.

Ted Morton is such a knowledgeable guy and takes American Politics very seriously. He knows the ins & outs of it all and tells great stories. His exams are very fair. He also likes to use catch phrases for events terms which are actually easy to remember for exams. He wants students to do well.

Very smart and has lots of experience... But he has no clear thought process... he pauses consistently throughout the lectures as if he has no idea what is going on. And I honestly don't think he does know what is gong on, as he just talks about random and irrelevant things all the time. Go to the TA's tutorials if you want to learn.

Would not recommend taking his class. He goes on random tangents during the class then informs you that you don't need the information. He wants you to read his book but the exams are 15 years old and not consistent with his book. He is not approachable and he does not give clear directions...

Dr Morton is a fascinating and brilliant man with so much political experience. While his lectures may be a bit slow - he explains everything very well. The exams are not hard, as long as you do the readings. I would recommend Dr. Morton to anyone who wants a well-spoken and conservative lecturer. Great prof & great class!

Horrible professor! He is extremely unclear,he makes you bounce all over the textbook with no documented organized syllabus of the reading, he never answers any questions correctly, takes forever to grade your stuff, and his TA's are even worse. would not recommend this class with Morton.
