Comment:

Amazing. Language courses have the ability to either be enjoyable or plain terrible, but Fumie makes classes engaging and fun to attend. You'll learn a lot of grammar, and about Japanese culture too! Moreover, she creates her own grammar lessons with reference to the textbook (which is a good course aid), so it's never dull.

Her teaching method is kind of dry. She explains the language well but it is very quickly paced and there isn't much in class practice. This year she scheduled a test worth 10% of the final grade for the day after thanksgiving, not very considerate to the students home life.

Fumie-sensei is that lovable older aunt you never had. Maintains the interest of all her students despite the demanding nature of the course, and never misses a chance to have fun with what she's teaching. Very strict with marking on tests however.

Shimoda sensei rocks the show! High 80s mark and enjoyed every bit of work because she makes it all fun. She is very nice to students. So funny. Great English. Very reasonable. This course is seems almost too easy, but at the same time you still learn a lot. Excellent mark booster! Fa-Hine!
