Always complains when students do not attend class. Copies slides word for word from textbook but expects you to attend her "lectures". Overall I would not recommend .

While she seems to be kind enough her teaching style is rather lazy. Instructions are often poorly written. She can't even be bothered to just copy and paste links to mandatory listening assignments, instead only saying something like "Google the textbook title". Kind, intelligent woman but she genuinely just doesn't seem to care about teaching.

Shes very caring towards her students. Her exams for this class is quite heavy but as long as you go to class, participate and read the assigned readings then you should be good. Honestly she is not even a hard marker and her grading criteria for exams and presentations are pree clear. I wud recommend her for anyone interested on taking dis class.

Unless you already have a base in Spanish this course is quite difficult and overwhelming. It does not feel like an Intro course. Gabriela is a so/so Prof. She is not overly friendly, but not terrible either. In a lot of ways she seems apathetic and like she doesnt really want to be there. Maybe she has been teaching for too long.

Worst professor I've ever had. She is the only professor teaching Spanish at STMU and due to that I will never take another Spanish class while attending this school. She is an unfair marker and if she doesn't like you, for whatever reason, there is no way you will get a good grade.

Enjoyed taking Spanish with her. Although some of the material can be difficult, she does a great job of explaining the material. Overall, very kind and helpful

I was so excited to take Spanish. She makes me hate the language, she doesn't teach you how to form sentences or what 1/2 the words mean. She writes a lot of Spanish and doesn't explain what any of it means. She talks a lot of Spanish for a beginners course and I don't think she realizes none of her students have never spoken Spanish before!!!!

Only speaks Spanish in class which is really helpful because it allows you to practice your Spanish listening skills. She is a professor that is serious about what she teaches, so this class won't be like others. ~ I recommend her for people who are leaning towards a Spanish major or who are serious about learning the language :)

She is a good professor. Be in class, pay attention, and do your homework and you should have no problem with her exams. She is very helpful. She does homework checks like high school, but this is good in a languages class. Lots of face to face attention.

as long as you are attentitive she is interested. she will focus an entire lecture on you if you are attentitive. it is repetitive, but tell me how are you going to learn a language if you don't drive it in your head through repetition. She is probably the best language teacher i've ever had. made it, and HW very easy. Wish I had her this semester.

I love Spanish! And this teacher seems to like speaking it but does not seem to feel the same way about teaching it. She's pleasant and can even be enjoyable, but if she feels you're not giving her class the utmost attention she'll leave you high and dry. If your on her good side you'll like her and do well. too bad she's really cold otherwise.

She is a good teacher..but one can tell she is not excited to be there or enthused on teaching. Just sit still and learn...she does not like too many questions asked. She teaches very straight forward and always out lines test ahead of time!

not a great teacher. seems to come to class with no preparation. teaching is uninteresting. for each unit you get three or so questions or topics, repeat the same text/dialogue/answers over and over and over, and then they are the test questions. nobody should have an excuse to do poorly in this class, yet she finds ways to make it happen

I already speak spanish and took this as mickey mouse course. She has less personality than the text book, I believe she hates her job, and she does an aweful job. I could probably teach the course better than her and I havent had to use the language in 5 years.
