Let me start off by saying MTKG 341 with Keesling was one of the hardest classes I have ever taken in my life. I'm an IT major and business minor. Keesling's lectures are VERY good but his tests are VERY hard. He's not a bad guy at all. He can be a hard ass, but come to class and do the readings and you can pass the class. I had to WORK for my B+

Sorry excuse for a teacher. He may know a lot about marketing but he fails to even remotely communicate that with students, nor accurately evaluate their knowledge on it. Avoid like the plague.

Most arrogant professor I have ever had. Makes you buy the textbook and when you don't read it looks down on you and then tells you everything in the textbook is wrong. Likes to make his students feel like idiots at every chance he gets while talking about how great he is. Often refers to himself in the 3rd person if that tells you anything.

In all honesty, Keesling is not that bad. No homework or projects, just easy 10 point pop quizzes that are usually listing. Is a college class and you have to study. He explains everything so well and is clear on what is not he test. All short answer but its all just definitions. Great teacher who helps you actually learn and retain the material.

By far the worst teacher I have ever had at Towson. The material he ATTEMPTS to cover in class has no relevance to the exam. No grading format or organization. All test are essay based and the answers could be correct but if it's not how he wants it then your deducted points. Please please save yourself the stress and DO NOT take him.

Horrible professor gives no help at all outside of class and requires an obscene amount of preparation for exams. Wait a semester to take another professor if he is your only option.

Showy/fun presenter but tests require hours and hours of preparation. Pop quizzes worth 10% of grade - ignore and focus on studying for tests. Very pompous. It's almost impossible to get above a D-he fails ALOT of students.Take only if you have great memory recall; approximate/worded your way answers are marked wrong, even if they are right.

Keesling's hard and I hate to admit it but I did learn a lot in his class. I usually forget everything I learned when the semester ends but his material actually stuck with me bc he makes you literally memorize it word for word and write it on the test. If you're an overachiever you'll be fine if you're just trying to pass take ANYONE else.

I thought he was a rather good teacher, and his tests build long term memory. in order to pass his test, you must remember his definitions, word for word, but his definitions mean the same than those in the text book. Do not miss a class, and take notes, write down every definition he says (he will repeat them), and every model on the board.

This man is a sad excuse for a teacher. I would not recommend him if my life depended on it. If you get lost in the course, you'll remain so until the end of your final. He does not help students at all when you ask for help and has poor/unclear grading criteria.

Suggest joining a local frat. Test answers and questions are always the same. You will pass if you remember Garland is always right. He wants interaction if you agree with him. Course is difficult if you only attend classes...far different if you have any previous tests.

Strict, commanding attitude can make class a bit unpleasant. His marketing terms are entirely based on his own definitions, so what you learn doesn̢۪t feel relevant outside of the class. Exams can be hard but there are no tricks or surprise questions that he hasn't gone over. Take thorough notes and go to every class: you'll loath it but you'll pass

By far the hardest professor at Towson. Before taking this class I read what others were saying on here and didn't really take them seriously, but I really should have. I am an A student and I'm working my tail off for barley a B. Don't take him unless you HAVE to, he is TERRIBLE, inconsiderate, rude, and EXTREMELY conceited.

Hardest class I've taken BY FAR. First exam is a big wake up call to students. Second exam is way better and the final is cumulative. Go to every single class or you'll miss all the concepts. Make note cards and study every definition on his inventory word for word, and you'll do just fine. He is a real college professor and wont let you forget it!

The people who do bad is the ones who sleep through his lectures and/or doesn't show up. It's his definitions, yes, but it's all related. If you know the definitions, understand and able to relate them and maybe give some examples in real life, you will pass the exam with ease. It's tough, but you're not in high school anymore. Bring your A game!

I just took MKTG 101 with him and it was brutal. He grades his tests by his exact definitions and literally marks off if you don't have word by word answers of his personal defintion. Not sure how that will help us at all in the real world but thats how he grades so make sure you write down what he says word for word.

Dont take unless forced too. Very tough class & strict teacher. 4 grades for entire semester. 3 long essay test, 10 pop quizes usally on fridays at beginning of class & must define a term using his defintion. All he does is lecture, he doesnt beleive in technology. Must be in class on time to take quiz & he gets pissed if you get up during class
